About Toy Shire

You received new toys from your family. Isn't that lovely? Oh, it's for sure...
Your old toys, though, aren't getting along as well. They are no longer cared for and have been forgotten. So what follows next? They're going to join together against you and assault your brand-new toys, so be prepared. But never worry! You're in luck since your brand-new toys are troops of green soldiers. They still require your aid though! Control, strengthen, and defeat the opposing forces! However, focus with care, the enemies you encounter might not be your old playthings!

Tower building alone won't be sufficient to repel incoming attackers. Build up your own troops in the best feasible positions, then unleash attacks into enemy territory. Never abandon your towers, and deploy your troops in accordance with the traits of the enemy. First, the attacking forces will attempt to get past your defenses. Build and improve towers to aid your army. By using unique abilities, you can support your troops and towers as well.

Safeguard your base against waves of attackers. You need to pick the right troops if you would like to prevail. Clean the paths and guard any open routes. Upgrade your troops and unlock new ones to take down the waves and claim victory.

Enter a world and a narrative built around the toys that enriched your youth, including toy soldiers, dinosaur sets, robots, building blocks, and more.

For you to continue this journey, you must defeat outdated toys that are scattered throughout your house, starting in your room. Keep in mind that different enemy troops appear at different locations! To better repel the attackers, build towers according with the enemy traits. Due to the distinctive designs, certain locations could have different battlefields. You might stumble to a number of circumstances during your battle with the enemy that could have an impact on you.
  • A toy-themed tower defense adventure.
  • Small green soldiers that allow you to attack the enemy base, in addition to defending your own base.
  • 4 different rooms, 12 unique levels, where you battle against a variety of vintage toys.
  • Unique towers, soldiers, and enemy types.
  • Three different difficulty settings to cater to every player.
  • A creative mode that allows you to design your own levels with over 100+ objects.
  • Over 30 achievements to complete.

Cute and short game, for the current price of 9,75€ i recommend it if you like tower defense games. But there is a lot of wasted potential here! You can summon and command soldiers like a RTS game which is a super cool mechanic but the level design does not allow for proper use of the soldiers. Only 1 or 2 levels allow for cover or interesting positions to actually put them. You can even win the level by conquering the enemy base which never happened for me. Resources are quite rare and better invested in towers. You just don't have the funds to command an army. With only better level design and an slightly changed economy this game could be Amazing. In its current state its just a pretty average tower defense game.

Toy Soldiers Forever!

I just finished the game, and it left a real impression on me. It’s one of the most charming and heartfelt tower‑defense games I’ve ever played. Stepping into the role of the little boy felt like stepping back into my own childhood—playing with toys, imagining worlds, and losing myself in them. The love and passion behind every level and scenario is unmistakable. Don’t let the cute presentation fool you, though. The gameplay hits. A few bosses had me deep in strategy mode, and finally beating them felt amazing. The bee level nearly drove me insane, but the solution ended up being so simple. This game deserves recognition for its artistry, heart, and craftsmanship. Truly wonderful work.

Toy Shire, developed by Bluespy Studios and published by Catoptric Games, is a strategy-focused tower defense game that transforms the imaginative world of childhood toys into a lively battlefield. Set within a child’s room, the game builds its identity around the idea that toys have come to life, with newer playthings defending their territory against older, forgotten ones that have turned hostile. This premise gives the game a unique personality, blending nostalgia with a subtle sense of conflict that adds a surprising layer of emotional context to what might otherwise be a straightforward strategy experience. At its core, Toy Shire follows the familiar structure of tower defense gameplay, where players must strategically place defensive units to stop waves of enemies from reaching their objective. However, the game expands on this formula by introducing active troop deployment alongside traditional static defenses. Players are not limited to building towers but can also command toy soldiers and other units directly, creating a hybrid system that combines planning with real-time decision-making. This approach makes the gameplay more dynamic, as players must constantly adapt to c…
