Toyland Tussle

Once you get past the dash mechanics and floaty jump, its a pretty great game! The art is great, the story is great for what its going for. The replayability is also great for a game with only one level! The music is reuses the same samples but other than that, I think the musics pretty good too! Definitely worth the money to buy this game.

Awesome game! Only complaint is the lack of a fully customizable control scheme.

Visuals: 10/10 Stunning, Beautiful Animation, Nails the style perfectly and besides the art itself, the art concept is really cool, with intro and outro, plus the toy-world-like boss fight itself! Gameplay: 6/10 Movement is a bit wonky, the character jumps too high and some projectiles have goofy hitboxes. Still a 8/10 overall so I can only recommend it!

Although I enjoyed the game, I can't recommend it to anyone except for those desperate for more Cuphead-like gameplay. With some adjustments it could have been a good game though. The main problem is that the difficulty comes from the weird movement system. When you tap jump, you go max height, unless you press down to fall. You can change direction (left/right) in the air as much as you want, but you can't go neutral once you have tapped either direction. After you dash, you're unable to do a little correction. Games with limited air control can be good, but this isn't that. Cuphead has a good movement system, and the difficulty comes from there being so much going on, you struggle to keep track of it all. In this game, there isn't as much going on, and dodging overlapping attacks is only difficult because of the awkward controls. The hitboxes also feel too big. This probably means they're exactly right instead of slightly lenient in favor of the player. Or maybe it's that you can still be hit by the corner of a projectile if it is 90% below the ground. After some technical difficulties wherein the game wasn't receiving my controller inputs, I thought this game was super fun! It's short, but the pricetag isn't tall at all and with the wonderful animation and attention to detail visually I think it's a fair asking price. The controls were a bit strange to get used to coming from someone who played Cuphead on the Xbox One, and the physics were noticeably floatier and "icy" compared to its cup-based counterpart if that makes any sense. It takes some getting used to, but once you do it's a fun experience with a cute little story and really creative protagonist.

Its a rip off of Cuphead but is a cool game
