About Trash of the Titans

Well, you're a gang of dumpster-diving trash bandits in a wizard city fighting over magical wizard trash. That's the pitch. (For nerds: it's a roguelike tactical RPG.)

I know, pretty great huh? Each level, you defend some dumpsters full of delectable goodies from the RAT CRUE, and if you lose too much trash to them then idk they'll probably use its magical powers to summon a decaying trash god or something I DON'T KNOW IT WON'T BE GOOD.

And each level you get a new ability from relics in the dumpster! 🥳🥳🥳

And then you get to eat the trash, which upgrades your stats! Make sure the whole party gets their share and you'll get bonus stats through the POWER OF FRIENDSHIP.

A charming retro art style, a callback to old DND party staples with classes that all play and feel different, fun level design, unique and challenging bosses, some genuinely funny lines, and they're animals to top it off? Yes Please! Seriously, a solid 9.75/10. The only downside is that I've played through all the missions and have to wait for more.

The game is great. I just hope that the developers wouldn't lose heart because so far, this is game is not as successful as it should be.

An enjoyable little game that I highly recommend to anyone that wants something small to play in their spare time in between those awkward 15-30 minute gaps before some arrangement. It requires little storage space, is simple to pick up, can be saved and quit after each room (never had a room run more than 20 minutes), and has an undeniable charm to it that landed quite well with me. This is still an early access game and run by a solo dev at that so don't expect the updates to be massive or high frequency; there are also small number of bugs and issues that I have run into but it was fewer than expected. I may update this review or go more in depth in the future but for now that is all. Thank you for the time an I hope I have helped you with a decision.
