Everything about it reminds me of the games I played back when my Nintendo was busy working away at various Dragon Warrior, Final Fantasy, and it even has some things that remind me of Zelda 1, among other games from back in simpler times for gaming. The music is right on par as well, and everything about it is a total work of love and nostalgia, completely bringing one back to those times when 8-bit gaming was supreme. There was a lot to like, a few gripes, and overall this game …

If you've played 80s JRPGs like the early Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest titles, you'll know exactly what to expect from this game. If you enjoy that classic gameplay loop of exploring an open world with minimal direction, fighting turn-based battles and upgrading your equipment, you'll have a good time. It's a short game but hits the right notes.

Yup old school RPGg. Only this time you probably ain't beating it at level 32. So there is that. Never was fond of fake low rez music and sound. But if you are into that it's here.

NES game tropes abound, this game brings them all to light; but being respectful to the old games. It plays like an old Final Fantasy game, and looks like one as well. If you grew up with this style, or are a younger player who likes the "retro" look of games like this, I can't recommend this enough. I am not even a big fan of JRPGS; but I made it all the way through this one. 5 potatoes

If, for some reason, you couldn't get enough Final Fantasy 1, this is the game for you. Literally exactly like the game description says: [If you find yourself thinking, "I'd love to play a game almost just like the original Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy games, but I already beat those games", then this is the game for you.] I can't put it into any better words than that. Keep in mind that it is a bit of a parody, considering the name Tropia.

Fun game. Good time waster.
