Unfinished and abandon by the developer left with bugs and empty promises. Another Steam Early Access Failure. But of course, there isn't a tag on this game that it's abandon, even after a post in the steam forums of the game by the developer stating it's no longer being supported. This title came out of early access unfinished, and was almost instantly abandon.23 found this helpful
Pushed out of Early Access early, and abandoned.13 found this helpful
I gave this game a reall chance, but i t was in the end not whorth. It is not only bad UI, but: bad game play - after 28h i still have problem with throwing items on ground, not going in to defense mod, not knowing if my solider will shoot in defense mod. There are two tipes of curency for some reason oh and crafting. storage is very limited. We do not get any info abaout what we get when we deconstruct item, or what we get from missions. bad optymalization - game work so slow I turn off every thing and still it work badly. if map have water on ground it will be even worse. bad balance - every one is spung every one have a lots of ap and enemys can cross half map to bite you and there is nothng you can do it abaout except load turn and with knowledge from where they will come put your soliders to defense. Scaner could help with it but it range is limited and enemys can walk miles just to bite you. Standart ammono is just bad, do not use it. bio tranqiualizer is the best and napalm. boring missions - I played 28 h and i was able to finish like 6 missions, one defend and one extrarminate aliens. For 28 h I was rushing, after spending first 4h on first mission with just one squ…5 found this helpful
I went in with no knowledge about this game. I just got hooked by the fact it's supposed to be turnbased and looked pretty nice, It's pretty straight forward in the tutorial and when you hit the real game you are in for a ride of pain :) It took me almost 3 hours to complete the first mission. But it sure was rewarding. But try it out at easiest difficulty first not at hard like i did. I really like the game and I will continue to play it. Recommended if you are a true turnbased nut and doesn't mind some ass-wopping on the way to glory.3 found this helpful
6.5/10 XCom-like TBS in space TLDR: the game is for the uber-hardcore TBS nerds, though much of its difficulty comes from cluttered UI design and poor onboarding. Visuals are polished yet the top-down perspective is just a unfortunate choice. Patient players might still want to check it out at a discount Good: + it has the XCom/JA2 formula at its heart + pretty UI graphics + very nice music + a lot of small interesting stuff like pushing/pulling objects, fully destructible environments, jumping over poison puddles + if you like complexity, it's a very complex game - if only this complexity was introduced gradually and not all at once So-so: +/- the story is too verbose. Just to start the first mission, there is a whole Zoom call with half a dozen characters involved. And nothing interesting is actually said. I mean, we hate that already at our jobs, so games should not try to replicate that. The game desperately needs humor or some kind of life to it. But no, it's just too serious about itself, and you can even see it from the guy on the game's Steam banner. So serious! You don't mess with this guy! +/- the tutorial is long and detailed. So it has the makings of a good game. A very good game. But it just falls frustratingly short of greatness. That said this is basically turn based Aliens. And its currently costing £1.67. Which is mad. I`ve easily lost a day already on this game and whilst I could bemoan its shortcomings and failure to achieve greatness it is worth every penny.
