Ven VR Adventure

Very basic gameplay with a TERRIBLE camera system. I've tried coming back to this game multiple times but each time the camera just kills the experience for me. On top of that, the devs for this game made many promises for PC but never came through. Read through the Steam Discussion board and you will see them making promises to add achievements and doing hotfixes to make the game better. Multiple years later and no patches seem like a clear indication on their intent. The game could have been good but due to lack of polish and devs that don't care about PC, this game is pretty sub-par.

Ven VR Adventure is an adorabe platformer in an interresting VR coat. You do not play as Ven. You are following him. The game can be played seated, you do not have to move. As Ven progesses through the level the camera (You) moves automaticly across the Z-axis. Only foward, never back. Never to the side. It might feel a bit weird at first but it is an unique way to run a platformer. The game has 3 area's with each 4 levels. The first a very easy, like the first world Mario levels. The second and third area's are increasing in dificulty very fast. They are still fun though. Difficult but fun. Unfortunatly, the game has some issues with the Index controlers. In the last world there is bug that keeps you from interacting they way you need to progress, blocking completion of the game. It is unlikely that this will ever be fixed so if you use an Index, be aware of this. I believe it does work on other controllers.

bruce nelson is the antagonist of all time

A challenging VR platformer. The game looks and runs great. This title is very similar to Max Mustard but more challenging. I had some problems with the camera. You can move the camera horizontally but not up or down. In a few cases, I lost my character and in one case I couldn’t figure out how to die and had to restart the level. The touch controls you use to select levels also caused me issues. I had to remove my couch cushion to reach far enough to pull a lever at one point. Additionally, if your hand is in the wrong place when the main menu spawns, it’s going to randomly select something. I accidentally deleted my save file due to this. Still, an enjoyable game.

Best VR platformer

It's a nice game but it is not perfect. It's a platform game, and there is more than a passing resemblance to Crash Bandicoot, in both look a play style. Unfortunately this game does not come off that well in that comparison. It is also in many respects similar to Moss, but not quite as pretty, nor is the story as well structured. It is nice to look at, the character is pretty responsive and the levels are reasonably well made. I completed the game and for the first 4 levels I was pretty happy with how it was playing and even following the very flimsy plot. As I got further I started to realise what it was about the game that was bugging me, and much of that was because I was comparing it to Crash Bandicoot. The first thing is, I hope you don't mind heights. You will die from falling lots, lots and lots. No really I mean so much you'd think these people would have evolved wings! What's wrong with ground? Crash was mostly running down a tunnel of trees, it wasn't until the much later levels could you fall to your death. It would help significantly if Ven could grab the edge and climb up.
