Vengeance Hunters

I love beat em up games, but it's hard recommending this one at least the PC version (a new NEO GEO game is always welcome especially a technically sound like this one). I am not sure what's to blame but the game is well... boring. It just doesn't flow as good as other beat em ups. It isn't that fun and it starts getting stale before you even finish the first level. I finished Maiden Cops a ton of times, Final Vendetta as well, unlocked almost everything in Fight 'n Rage, at a time I was playing Streets of Rage 4 on a daily basis, at a ton of other modern beat em ups and I boot up emulators for some other classics every now and then, but Vengeance Hunters I struggle to keep playing, nothing keeps my interest. The combat system on paper should be great. Three different attacks you can combine for combos yet it feels like I've seen everything that has to offer after like 2 minutes. Game feels way too slow and maybe it sticks around each screen a tad too long feeling like you are barely progressing, each stage in general feels a bit too long. Fantastic game. Sweet, short, solid beat-em-up.

Fun beat em up, Feels better than mayhem brawlers, but not better than final vendetta. A little more focused on juggling than i'd prefer, but the clear telegraphing enemies do, and fairly varied movesets on the playable characters make this one im going to put more time into. Only one guy grabs, if you're very into the grab-game, so consider that i guess. I don't understand why it seems to have bombed on steam, considering how good it is, and looks. I really hope they made their money elsewhere, because this looks like it cost a fortune to make. I have minor gripes with the hit SFX and how it seems like you want to launcher every enemy in the game so far, but i'm also playing on normal so i bet im missing some of the mechanical juice. I think it's worth the cash, if you're a beat em up gamer. Check it out!

Well balanced.

the game is really a great beat m up, has music and some graphics that brings you all back to Streets of Rage, Double Dragon and others. The graphics is good (for a retro style) - APPROVED

Pros 1. The pixel art and enemy designs are big and nice. 2. There is a good variety of environments and it has some extra areas that you can discover and some nice mini games like riding a bike or flying a ship. 3. The air combos are really fun and offer a lot of routes. It's beginner friendly and not too complex to perform. 4. Hit detection is good and there is good feedback when stunning the enemies. 5. The three characters each play differently enough and they have their own strengths and weakness. I did not find a character that I didn't like. They all were fun once you get the hang of them. Cons 1. There is only 5 stages and the levels stretch a bit too long. 2. The average length of the game is around 1 hr 20 mins which is more then I like for a retro style beat em up. Would have been better if they had cut the stages shorter and use the excess for a 6th stage. 3. There is some BS in the latter stages. Everything wants to explode in your face. 4. While I like some of the strategies needed to fight bosses, the final boss however is very annoying to fight. 5. The music for this game is meh. There are a few nice tunes, but I wouldn't call it memorable. Overall…
