This game feels just like being in an online community, complete with close friends, amusing posts, trolls, artists, and people who just need someone to reach out to. I was teary eyed by the end of the story. I wish Videoverse was real.

Interesting idea for a game, very realistic characters and interactions.

Cute visual novel with a lot of detail put into it. I got really into browsing through all the forums on each day, but there are certain plot moments that will automatically advance time and prevent you from looking at everything. It caught me off guard because most of the time it will prompt you and ask if you want to advance after viewing the main plot moments. Aside from that, very creative and cute.

A simpler time. Videoverse is a visual novle about the past and how the internet used to run and the connections that we used to create. In the game we follow Emmett who is playing this game: Feudal Fantasy. However that is more of a side thing, the main thing is the Videoverse, a place to chat with friends and like-minded gamers. The game takes primarily through there with some voice over as you hear how Emmett feels. For the most part your interaction will be via chatting with others and posting on the forums. It's nice and simple. The game follows your story between you and Vivi, a person who joins the place. Over time you're cultivate a relationship (platonic or otherwise) as she slowly becomes the new person in your life. As you do so you're also chatting with people in forums, reporting trolls, amongst other things. For the most part the game is pretty darn good. As the story goes you get caught up in dramas in the forums, get to know people's lives and become close friends or lose friends in the forum. I will say overall it's good. It's a story that does a decent job of recreating that period of time. Of seeing friends "offline" and that meant something. It's a game…

A really solid game with a really cool story. Didnt know what to expect and fell in love with it. It really gives that early 00's vibe I had when I was young and I really was reliving it for a moment.

incredibly charming time capsule of early internet relationships and being young. would highly recommend this to anyone looking for something cute, short, and slightly replayable.
