You play as Nathan, an off-grid smuggler hunting for your disappeared girlfriend Jay through a dystopian future where one all-powerful AI controls reality itself via a neural network. Armed with a broken headset that lets you see the truth, you'll navigate digital graveyards, hacker collectives, and virtual reality cults across the globe in a cyberpunk adventure unlike anything else.
Nathan, an outsider still refusing to comply with the new system, makes a living off the grid as a smuggler of modded hardware and cracked software. Geared with his custom headset, he is among the few that can still switch AVR off and see reality for what truly is.
He shares an apartment in the city with his girlfriend Jay, a talented AVR graffiti writer whose drones have been bit-spraying techno-color all over the augmented space in the city.
Waking up one morning, Nathan discovers that Jay disappeared overnight, but not before leaving a cryptic message on their bathroom mirror.
Having accidentally broken his custom headset, Nathan is now disconnected and determined to find out what happened to Jay, but he soon finds himself tangled up in an unexpected journey involving Jay's hacker group and a guild of AVR technomancers.
Travelling around the world, he'll have to deal with hardware graveyards, digital archeology, tribes of cryptoshamans, and virtual reality debauchery.

Overall puzzles are VERY unfriendly. Had to look for non-commentary play through videos multiple times to get to the ending. Story was decent Graphics/soundtracks were AMAZING1 found this helpful

[h1][b] Virtual Headaches [/b][/h1] So the pixel art style and the 8 bit music is absolutely on point. A lovingly crafted cyberpunk world with a lot of detail. The story is... not great. The lore doesn't make much sense but the worse is the main character who is impossible to sympathize with. He's basically an a**hole with no personality, who is stalking his girlfriend, and cons and steals from everyone he meets along the way. As for the gameplay... it combines all of the worse traits point n clicks have to offer: extreme pixel hunting. nonsensical combos and actions that are impossible to figure out on your own, poor explaining of objectives, heavy backtracking, and some pretty bad puzzles. If it was a 90s game, it may be understandable but for a game that came out in 2020 there is plainly no excuse.
