Viktor, a Steampunk Adventure, developed by Studio Spektar and published by Gamera Interactive, is a point-and-click adventure that thrives less on traditional storytelling and more on personality, satire, and sheer absurdity. Set in a surreal, steampunk-inspired version of the Austro-Hungarian Empire populated by anthropomorphic animals, the game immediately establishes a tone that is unapologetically quirky. You play as Viktor, a temperamental boar whose ambitions far exceed his qualifications, and after losing his job, he sets out on an unlikely journey to become emperor. It’s a premise that feels deliberately ridiculous, and the game leans into that absurdity at every opportunity. At its core, the gameplay follows familiar point-and-click conventions. Players explore hand-drawn environments, collect and combine items, and solve puzzles to advance the story. Interactions are straightforward and easy to grasp, making the game accessible even to those who are not deeply familiar with the genre. However, what sets Viktor apart is its willingness to break from formula. It frequently introduces small mini-games and interactive sequences that shift the pace, adding moments of variety…

The game captures the spirit of classic 1990s point-and-click adventures:

Cartoonish world and eccentric characters. An alternate-history steampunk version of Central Europe serves as the backdrop for a cast of quirky, memorable personalities.
Absurd black comedy. The game prioritizes surreal humor and witty dialogue over taking its setting seriously.
Classic point-and-click gameplay. Exploration, dialogue, and inventory puzzles form the core experience, with mini-games and action sequences providing occasional variety.
Puzzle-focused progression. Most obstacles are solved through puzzles, though unlike many classic adventures, some can be completed in multiple wayss (such as through different dialogue choices or optional puzzles).
That said, the game may not be for everyone:

Classic 'moon logic'. As with many old-school adventure games, puzzle solutions can be unintuitive, favoring comedic payoff over realistic reasoning.
Very niche political satire. Many jokes assume some knowledge of Central European history and the Austro-Hungarian Empire, though history enthusiast…

That's a fun game, but unfortunately too short. Loved the religious jokes here a lot!
