VITATIO, developed by ColloseusX and published by Phat Phrog Studios, is a minimalist arcade reflex game built entirely around one core principle: survival through avoidance. Its title, derived from the Latin word for “to avoid,” accurately reflects the central mechanic that defines the entire experience. There is no elaborate narrative framework or layered progression system; instead, VITATIO commits fully to high-speed, skill-based gameplay that challenges players to outlast increasingly chaotic patterns of moving hazards. At its foundation, VITATIO is a pure test of reaction time and spatial awareness. Players control a small object navigating a confined arena while waves of gem-like obstacles approach from different directions. Early moments feel manageable, almost meditative, as patterns are sparse and movement feels deliberate. However, as time passes and difficulty escalates, the screen becomes more crowded and unforgiving. What begins as simple dodging quickly evolves into split-second decision-making, demanding precise control and a steady hand. Survival hinges on anticipating trajectories rather than reacting blindly, rewarding pattern recognition and careful positioning…

VITATIO is a really lame mobile app style avoidance game that looks a lot like it was copy + pasted from a GameMaker Studio template/tutorial. All you do here is put your finger on your iPhone screen and drag around avoiding objects that fly at you repetitively, and see how long you can last. That's all there is to this, it's garbage, and evidently has been dumped on Steam as a lazy cash grab. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The game features somewhat lazy, simplistic 2D graphics, of the type you normally expect to see in low effort Flash/browser games and mobile apps. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing. The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, si…

Fun game to pass away a few hours so much fun trying to figure out how not to get hit with increasing difficulty as the levels go on. I liked the design on the game was fun and was a great game to escape into for a quick break from working.

Takes about 30 minutes to 100% if you are doing it decently fast however the play level 5 achievement doesn't seem to work going level to level for me it did pop once i went back to the main menu and clicked level 5 :D

Vitatio is a game all about dodging objects by moving your character with the mouse. Where it fails is how repetitive and unfun it is. There are eight levels, and to get three stars, you have to survive for a set amount of time. Sure all the levels have unique things to dodge, but the game just isn't, captivating.
