Enemy fire is VERY punishing and can kill you quickly even on defensive builds. Stay on your toes and don't let the cool retro music distract you from the ground explosions if you want a high score :-D Infinite mode allows for vessel upgrades that can amount to a good bit of extra power over time Cool game for the price point - recommend

This has the makings of a good roguelite twin stick shooter akin to Geometry Wars, but it lacks the polish it needs to keep me hooked, and there are a lot of generic games in this genre, so competition in the space is fierce. It feels like an AI-generated game, and sure enough, the developer admitted to using AI to make at least part of the game and used it for marketing (what marketing?), so you have to question the $4.99 price tag. It's not good enough to charge for IMO. It does, however, have some nice gameplay design choices and a good character build system to keep things interesting for multiple runs. Music is generic but not super annoying or too loud. It can be muted easily, too, so at least it meets that low bar. It doesn't have great sound effects and feels rushed in that regard. I would suggest to the dev that they work on sound design for this project because with the right soundtrack, it could be a lot more addictive. Bugs are all over the place, though it *is* an early access title. One such bug was I was able to squeeze through a small opening between two walls instead of getting stuck there.
