First of all, the controls are awful. Yeah, you can remap them, but the controls give you a window into the mind of the dev. They're completely thoughtless. This is a dumb cashgrab game. If they designed it right, it would be a 6 hour thing to 100%. Instead, they scaled it in such a screwed up way that you're going to have to cheese it. And unlike a lot of other incremental games, leaving it on while you go to bed to accumulate stuff while you sleep is not going to be enough for you to cheese your way into beating the game. They actually want you to suffer. And when I say suffer, I mean play this awful game they made. No matter how much improvements you sing into your ship, 4 missiles will blow you up and you'll lose all of your bonuses. Want to make more money to improve your ship? Enemies just leveled up despite your ship not actually getting any stronger. Not worth your time or money.

This is a twin-stick shooter that is essentially powered by an idle game. Purchase facilities on planets that generate money over time, reinvest that into other facilities on other planets, and eventually purchase upgrades for your ship. A little slow at the start, but once you get a grasp on everything it moves along at a good pace. Pretty solid soundtrack, but this game is perfect for listening to whatever you wish in the background. It also ends after a reasonable amount of time unlike other idle games, so please don't let that dissuade you from giving this a shot. $15 is a little too high in my opinion, pick it up when it's on sale.

[h2]Shmup Meets Idler[/h2] While the reviews of this game are mixed, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with [i]Vostok Inc.[/i]. You are capitalist colonists who want to conquer all the star systems. Making money is all that matters. Destroying asteroids, building factories on planets, killing enemy ships, completing races and a variety of other tasks should help build the empire. Money will help with improving the ships weapons, fuel, health and other aspects like upgrading the radar. It will also help you unlock the other star systems, or purchase buildings and their upgrades on each planet. Each star system has a set enemy force, with a boss that will appear after a certain amount of money is reached, defeating the boss will allow you to travel to the next star system, there are six total. The plot revolves around your company interacting with the main inhabitants of each star system. I will say, some of the dialogue is really entertaining, even if the story isn't all too gripping. There's a lot of other features, like executives, who give bonuses to production if they are happy. You keep them happy by giving them food, drink and gifts. It's fun. The display resolution sucks ass for on the deck, and even manually configuring it to run in either forced 1200x800/1200x720, there's still a large part of the HUD you can't see. Other than that, it's one of those games you can have on the background if you're landed on one of your planets.
