Wendigo Blue

The Ice boss is the epitome of everything wrong with this game & why I am not hopeful for its future, it has permanent "perfect" armor that you cannot do any hp damage while it is active, not even graze damage, ,& it can only be temporarily removed by doing a perfect parry all the while the moves are poorly telegraphed & can sometimes even change timing. After all of that horrid drawn out fight you are rewarded with a second phase where the boss reheals & proceeds to spam poorly telegraphed full screen attacks. (Oh and btw this horrid boss becomes fodder for another boss & keeps their perfect armor...) Add to this all that as a reward for completing a side challenge story mission you are rewarded with the game permanently adding the most annoying mechanics to two enemies who will now be spammed in every area in a game that encourages being speedy to both get rewards and race against the already awful system where the enemies are buffed every couple minutes during the campaign, so now you have to permanently deal with perfect parry fodder, & flow (dodge) parry fodder that can't even be scratched until you break their armor. fantastic game. This is the most fun I had with a beat ´em up since i played at the arcades as a kid. the combat flows so naturaly since is simple but with a nice variety that makes you want to experiment and extend your combos. fully recommeded

The customisation feels lackluster and very repetitive..which is sad because the combat is actually quite nice

The most fun game I have played in a while

Amazingly Fun. Can't wait for the full game and all it's content! Gameplay itself has a looot of mechanics that keep it from getting boring. Blunt attacks, Weapon Attacks, Magic Attacks, blocking, Counter attacking, evading, armor breaking, grappling, side stepping, air combat, every character plays differently. Elemental Affinities add a bit of variety and the skill tree, although small and easy to fill, really feels like revving your character up to what they should be. The roguelike features are limited but just enough to feel like they are there and are impactful. I'm surprised they added so much depth into what is already an addicting experience if we weren't to have these features to begin with. When you start to understand the game you get into this "Groove" like state if you manage to apply all the mechanics where you should. Overall super fun. P.S I see some reviews thumbing down due to some reasons but really: If you are complaining about how it's hard to keep track of your character - It's a beat 'em up, you're supposed to know how to circumvent this issue by now. I got this on sale. BUT for $10 this is a great game! WORTH IT!!!
