When The Night Comes

To this day, When the Night Comes is still one of my top visual novels I've ever played (don't let the low number of hours fool you, I originally played the game on itch back when it was still releasing each episode). I absolutely adored the characters and the story over all. Would some people consider it easy to predict the villain or the story twist? Probably, but not everything needs to be some complex, brain breaking twist or puzzle. I genuinely enjoyed putting together the pieces of the story as well as interacting with all the love interests through out it.

量大管饱，花得最值的30多块，玩完一次流程都够我用完所有的存档位了（虽然某些地方略有点拖沓了，但溺爱了），感觉被恋爱剧情淹没了好好吃啊好好吃，群像塑造也不赖 Best 30+ yuan I've ever spent, took me ~7 hours for just one playthrough (although there are parts that are somehow repetitive), and not to mention there are even mini stories after you finish the main game. I feel like I'm drowned in romance and fluff which I absolutely adore. I also love the group atmosphere, their bonds just seem so natural

I cannot count how many times I have played through this game. The story is fun, the art is beautiful, and the characters are so well written. There's an occasional typo, but who doesn't make a few typos when writing SO MUCH TEXT lol

I really like that witch boy

I've actually enjoyed the narrative, with all its turnarounds and twists. The characters were quite charming, and the dlc was awesome, loved the new character.

I've been craving something like The Arcana Game and seen reviews elsewhere that recommend When The Night Comes. Personally, I find When The Night Comes to both satisfy that craving and surpass it. The story itself isn't world shattering, but it is steady and consistent. The world truly feels lived in. The characters, their interactions with another and the playing character are crafted with care, respect and obvious passion. It gives me reason to replay, to want to learn more about the cast. I believe the price is more than fair for the polished quality, even for a single play through. I think my first play through was roughly 13 hours and as of this post, am early into a second play through.
