Night and Day could be such a great, relaxing yaoi \o/ visual novel if it weren't stat-raising (`□′)╯┴┴ I was so frustrated I promised myself it's gonna be my last stat-raising game ever. Sorry, but I just can't recommend it after all my suffering T_T Plus, it's still buggy. I've wasted so much precious time but still couldn't finish the game:( The collection of bugs I came across is immense. --quite often I was just stuck. Like in the last route, I followed diligently the guide, it was so slow and tedious, I'm 100% sure I did everything the way I was supposed to do but... stuck:( no option on the map was clickable(( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2968856699 --mini-games ⋋_⋌ I always disliked them in the stories, though here I admit some of them were fun, but there was one in all my countless attempts I just couldn't win T_T That's always such a blow on my self-esteem :( I hate it when games make me feel this way. I play to relax, not to feel enraged:( btw there're options just to skip minigames BUT they give points, that damn 'confidence', for example, which I truly lacked after those games(( --several times one route just switched into the other…

As soon as he gets there, he is greeted by painters along the Seine River including Emile Girardon; a well renowned artist. After that he meets Nathalie and Denis, a flower shop owner and a musician whom are also Paul's flatmates. They are not love interests but the remaining ones who can be romanced are the Romani guitarist Gilles, Haitian bartender Ferdinand, and former model Bernard.
Pros:
1. The story is good and I totally understand Paul and the cast's frustrations. Paul wants to fulfill his dreams and find someone to love. Ferdinand wants a good life for his sister. Emile wants to be understood for who he is and not what he does. All the characters have their vulnerabilities and how they rotate their lives around it. 2. I also liked how since it takes place in the 1950's, it p…

5/10 Night And Day is an okay adult BL VN that’s ruined by spelling mistakes, errors, and lack of chemistry. My takeaway: I can’t say Night And Day was a particularly memorable game but it was an okay one. If there was an ability to make this review neutral I would’ve clicked it but because of the price point my opinion was swayed to the negative. I waited a while to let the game resonate with me but I ended up nearly forgetting about it entirely. It seemed to have all the makings to be great- a coming of age story set in the city of love, great art, good music, multiple love interests, and gameplay that separates it from other VNs like stats and minigames but ultimately they lack any meaningful purpose and ended up being a hindrance to the story I was trying to enjoy. The achievements were moderately easy to achieve and required you to replay the story and choose new routes; it took me a little over 6 hours to complete the game in its entirety. The main let down the game has is its writing. It’s awful. The dialogue feels clunky and awkward and often has a mistake or three thrown in and because of this the story suffers. It was hard for me to believe that any of the romances, or …

It's just too slow. After 2 hours I've met all the romance interests but really don't feel like I've gotten anywhere with them. Instead, I write letters to someone who I have no idea who that is and spend time with the landlord who is a straight couple. The point of these games is to romance characters and I don't feel like it focuses enough on that. The stat boosts I got are so small in the grand scale of how many there are I would imagine this game will just keep going for ages. There just isn't enough going on for me to want to continue to spend hours in this world.

Honestly, the game is everything I need in a VN: >Nice writing >Pretty artworks >Fun gameplay >Catchy music It's quite rare for me to be invested into all routes in a VN at once, but here we are. I couldn't help but like all of them, even though I definitely had a favourite ( ꈍᴗꈍ) I also have been listening to jazz music only for wuite a while, the game has such a nice vibe and I want to hold on to it for a bit longer, haha Have to say that using a guide for each route is mandatory, I encoutered quite a few bugs and error messages in the game, sadly. But I'm sure it's avoidable if you stick to the instructions. The structure of the game seems more complex than in your average VN, I see why getting rid of all possible issues might be tricky. Nevertheless, I still recommend playing it. The experience is totally worth it! Maybe in the future the game will run more smoothly and it will become a perfect VN in my humble opinion.

I really wanted to give this game a good review, but I just can’t. The game feels unfinished, it feels unrefined, and it's buggy. It feels like a lot of unique elements and ideas smashed together with poor execution on so many levels. Some VNs in the adult genre are just “porn with extra steps,” so a basic story with one-dimensional characters to just hold everything together between the smut is a common theme in the genre… but this game can’t even stand on that. There’s just not enough variety in the routes, or romance / H scenes to warrant the price or compensate for the flaws here.
TL;DR
- Overall art style and quality is highly inconsistent and the game credits indicate multiple artists on the team, so I assume this is why - There are not enough CGs (3-4 per route, 1 NSFW per route), and again they are inconsistent in style and quality - Music is upbeat and theme-friendly but repetitive and transitions are jarring at times - Story is simple, nothing groundbreaking, and definitely not a selling point on its own - Abundance of spelling and grammar errors that get progressively worse and more frequent as the game goes on - Gameplay is tedious and repetitive, with littl…
