What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players universally criticize Wildstrive as unfinished and poorly executed, with complaints ranging from clunky mechanics and unresponsive combat to broken crafting systems and lack of guidance. The game's primary issue is that it appears to be an abandoned asset flip that hasn't received updates in nearly a year, with serious allegations that the developer simply repackaged stolen assets rather than creating original content. Most reviewers strongly advise avoiding the game entirely until significant development occurs, which seems unlikely given the apparent abandonment.
Game is very stiff and unfinished in every sense of the word. But that is not the main reason I cannot recommend it. Game is EA and has NOT recived any updates for almost a full year now. Avoid untill further notice! EDIT: Last update was Dec 27, 2023. Dev is either dead or has abandoned the game. DO NOT BUY!6 found this helpful

Warning: Asset Flip!
Wildstrive is an asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", MonsterGaze, took the Easy Survival RPG game assets from the real developers, Easy Systems, changed the name, and dumped the result onto Steam. They're attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else's work. The "developer" set out to try disguise their asset theft by mangling a bunch of stolen/plagiarised assets together, but never made a "complete" game (of course, with asset flipping, it's not about creation or making a real game, it's all about trying to get YOUR money by any means necessary, including dishonest misrepresentation, plagiarism/asset theft and abuse of programs like Early Access). It gets worse... "Easy Survival RPG" has also been shamelessly dumped on Steam by other asset flippers apart from MonsterGaze:

"Survival Isolation", asset flipped by 10 games studios/Candy games studios
"[url=https://store.steamp…3 found this helpful
very clunky, tried to harvest a tree only to have it disappear even though i was using the sharpened stone. combat is just terrible. was looking for water and found a wolf, the animal attacked me multiple times before i got a hit in. crafting is okay, nothing to amazing. was kinda curious about the ability to feed animals however it doesn't tell you what you need to feed them. very little guidance and i keep hearing a creepy laugh coming from some where. i am going to add that i believe i snagged this early access in 2023, i apparently played it for 2.1 hours. .2 of which were today as i decided to redownload it and see if it had improved any. i didn't have clear memory from when i bought it why i hadn't kept it installed...now i know.1 found this helpful
Wildstrive, developed and published by MonsterGaze, is an open-world survival game that follows the familiar rhythms of the genre while attempting to carve out its own identity through a mix of exploration, crafting, and light life-simulation elements. It places players on a remote island where survival is the immediate goal, but gradually expands into something closer to a sandbox of systems—farming, building, taming, and resource management—layered on top of that initial struggle. The foundation is recognizable, but the experience ultimately hinges on how well those systems sustain long-term engagement. The early hours are where the game feels most focused. Players begin with minimal resources and must quickly adapt to their surroundings, gathering materials, crafting basic tools, and securing food and water. This phase captures the core tension that defines survival games, where every decision has immediate consequences and progress feels meaningful. Establishing a small shelter, learning the layout of the land, and finding reliable resource sources provide a steady sense of accomplishment. The island itself, with its varied terrain and changing conditions, encourages explorati…
