Winter (Frostfall Realms Studios)

Abandoned game that is incredibly buggy and insanely overpriced. Just buy the kingdom games. The builders will get stuck in idle mode and do nothing at one point or the other. I've had this occur on the starting day. There's no consistent way of breaking this state, I've not been able to break it at all but some apparently have been able to. There's a menu option called "continued"(sicc) that does nothing. The game claims it saves but it does not. There's no menu option for settings at the start, only when you "pause"- which doesn't actually pause the game. The settings consist of effect volume and msuic volume. Nothing else. The game claims to be partially compatible with xbox controllers, but in reality that means you can walk with left stick and... Nothing else. Incredibly odd. Since there is no proper settings menu, you can't change keybinds or even check what the controls are. You have to play eenie meenie miney mo with your controls to figure it out. The game is incredibly slow and there's a lot of times where you got nothing to do, but at the same time your movement speed is slow enough that it takes so much time to get from A to B that you end up in game-ending situat…

The price for this game is an absolute crime. The game is half-hearted at best. The developers started something with potential, but left development of the game in a severely buggy and unplayable state. There are no tutorials, if you start a Normal game you will not even get the prologue for the game. Your workers will likely glitch, causing them to do nothing at all, meaning you will not progress. You will not earn money. You will not expand. The game had potential, but it has been left for dead...

I only bought this game because 1) Slavic mythology is flipping rad, 2) I can ride a giant-arse bunny, and 3) on sale for less than $1.50. I started playing and immediately got 5 cheevos; I know that's a turn-off for some people, but it's cool with me. I ran as far as I could to the left (on my majestically ginormous bunny), as far as I could to the right (still on my fluffy mount), and then hung out at a settler camp (with my faithful steed) until I had enough time in game to write a review. For my 15 minutes, I got 15 cheevos and a shiny new badge (and a really cool Baba Yaya profile background). I have no idea how to really play this game, but I love it to bits. :D

It's... uh... completely broken as a game.

I highly recommend Winter to anyone looking for a peaceful, visually stunning gaming experience — it’s a wonderful escape into a quiet, magical winter landscape.

Winter — интересная стратегия с приятной пиксельной графикой и атмосферой славянской мифологии. В игре нужно развивать поселение, собирать армию и защищаться от разных существ. Геймплей довольно увлекательный, а исследование мира и планирование стратегии делают игру интересной для любителей подобных жанров.
