WordBed is a simply made 2D word search game. Click on letters on the grid to make words, double click them, then "eliminate" them to make the remaining letters fall down so you can try make some words out of the rest. Once you're done, the AI will count the rest of the words and score you. That's all there is to it. I don't think this is any kind of malicious asset flip or scam, it's just a badly made, barely-a-game thing that's been dumped on Steam. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The implementation here is of such poor quality, the developer couldn't work out how to make the game display in fullscreen, it only runs in a window. Problematically, the user interface for this game is just a 2D text heavy panel, no graphics to speak of. It might as well be a browser game. And we all know, Steam isn't here to compete with Chrome and Firefox. If the…6 found this helpful
This only recognizes words going left-to-right and top-to-bottom, even when they are diagonally placed. The letter algorithm has been poorly set-up. You have very few words at all, most of which are only 3/4-letter words. You cannot enter the word in using the keyboard. You have to mark each letter with your mouse (this didn't work for me the first time I tried the game), then press enter to enter the word, or presumably click again on the last letter. There was an old game called Word Twist, which I still have on my external drive. I'm going back to that. The devs need to go back to the drawing board on this one.3 found this helpful
Since english is not my first language, a lot of words the game finds doesn't make sense to me, but hey, at least I'm learning something new. The sound for the clicking and the blocks moving can get annoying after a while, also the game doesn't allow "backwards" words, which is probably really hard to program, so it's okay. If you want to just pass time with something, you don't want to think too much, this game can be for you. I'll probably play with it when I am bored and don't know what else to do with myself.
