Wunderdoktor is a peculiar and imaginative indie title that transforms the role of a healer into a carnival of grotesque humor, quick reflexes, and surreal storytelling. Developed and published by Ghostbutter, the game places you in the shoes of a traveling “wonder doctor” who roams through a bizarre world offering miraculous cures to those plagued by the strangest ailments imaginable. Instead of focusing on realism or scientific precision, it celebrates the fantastical side of medicine—where a syringe might exorcise a ghost, a pair of tweezers could extract a swarm of bugs from a man’s face, and a quick slice of a scalpel might free someone from a living crystal infection. The premise alone reveals the game’s tone: equal parts dark comedy and macabre whimsy, wrapped in an atmosphere that feels like a twisted fairy tale told through the lens of a 19th-century traveling quack. Wunderdoktor 5/10 A clicker style surreal "doctor" sim where, through a series of symptoms, you click, pop, sew, and brush disease away. Cute enough fantastical story with vegetable, dog, fish, and bird patients to cure. Def plays like a tablet game (or at least would be easier on a tablet!) The end patients are very challenging to get perfect, and a perfect run of the game is required to platinum the title. So, I ended up beating it close to three times. Kind of annoying. Very repetative. The narration is fun the first time around. The second, not so much. All in all fine enough if you're bored, but not enough to go out of your way.
The art is great but it's a very tedious game, and I honestly hate the end with all the crows. Finishing it feels like a chore. Plus it's such a short game at such a high price, get it on sale if you get it at all.
