Let's face it-- gaming sucks in 2025. Greedy AAA devs stuff gambling and microtransactions into shorter and shorter titles, which have zero optimization and are full of glitches. Big gaming corps overcharge for their hardware and software, with Xbox's and Switches costing over $500 just for the systems, and $70 games becoming the norm. And good luck if you think that being a PC gamer is going to let you skate by pain-free. Windows 11 is slow and buggy, NVIDIA graphics cards use too much electricity, cost too much money, and have Linux drivers so bad that they might as well not make the card at all. And if dealing with the corporations wasn't enough, then you have to deal with The People. You know who I am speaking of. The "gamers" who spend more time on X.com complaining than picking up a controller. The folks who complain that about "the meta," the folks who complain about release dates being too "far away," the folks who complain when a game is "too woke" because a woman is not "thicc" enough. Real talk, this is ass, but it goes on sale for like 99 cents sometimes and it's worth that price to laugh at it. Also surprisingly difficult because spotting a discrepancy is nearly impossible and sometimes straight up lies to you. 1/10.
