Great Fzero like with an actual story??? great soundtrack and the racing is sublime its just the things during the "wating period" up till the races that sometimes drag on abit too long. wish more people gave this a chance!

This is a really cool racing game, it's not perfect but it has a lot of soul put into and is genuinely fun to play. It does have platformer/3d beat 'em segments that mostly serve as a break from racing moments and they for most part are fairly well made too. I will say that it does feel like there's some rubberbanding in this game somewhat but i've had many different experiences in the races in each cup. In the outer cup of the story mode the second track feels like an insane difficulty spike. I didn't max out my kestral but decently modded but even when i overdrive i would get absolutely smoked by nearly every npc to a comedic degree but then at the third lap it seems like they all sorta slow down and can't keep up and then i can catch up by constantly boosting and playing well to get a winning rank. When i got better at it i tend to mostly stay at pace but never managing to pass most of them, usually staying at like 17 or 10 place and then eventually smoking them and getting 1st so i feel like how difficult a race is highly dependant on 1. The AI 2. The track and 3. Your skill level. I wouldn't be surprised of there is some amount of rubberbanding in the game but it still feels f…

F-Zero GX is my favorite game and this game is a great spiritual successor. The price is worth it for the arcade mode alone of you love racing games. I haven’t tried story mode but I dig the calendar and time management idea.

you can't remap the controlls at all in game and i find the defaults to be less than ideal for use. constantly needing to press one or two face buttons on a controller gets uncomfortable eventually. even with steam input the default button map interferes so you can't even use to that to remap accellerate to a trigger. as it stands i find that i fight the controls more than i fight anything else. or race anything for that matter. it's rather unplayable for me that way since i would prefer a differen button layout. heck the game looks and sounds good and it played well too as far as i can tell, but i don't want to fight the controls more than anything else.

I cannot play any other flying hyper-speed cars game after this one. It is crazy good and challenging. (I've never played the story mode tho lmao, but racing part is amazing)

Great game with a steep learning curve, you can take some absolutely insane shortcuts that you'll find accidentally after flying off the track. My only gripe is that in story mode, the Grand Prix doesn't seem all that relevant. Even your performance in it doesn't matter besides the condition to be in 10th or above. Beating or losing to Cingul doesn't matter. Also, no difficulty options in the story mode either! Let me make use of the 100s of resets I am stockpiling.
