About Dash'n'Drops

Deep within the Webbing Waves, lost souls fused into one. Persistence is the only way out.

Improve. Adapt. Update.

Dash'n'Drops fuses the ultra-precise controls of Platform-Fighters (Smash Bros, Rivals of Aether...) with the unpredictable progression of a modern Roguelite (Dead Cells, Hades...). Dive into the layers of the network to scavenge power, and emerge strong enough to strike down the seven entities locking the system.

Explore. Equip. Fight.

Build your own arsenal in a race against time before the final confrontation.

Features:

  • Visceral Platform Combat: Experience the feel of a competitive fighting game in a single-player adventure where every hit counts. Eject your enemies or drain their health bars with surgical precision.
  • Full Moveset Customization: Customize your entire moveset in real-time. Find, equip, and upgrade Diskettes to define your Smash attacks, Tilts, Aerials, and more. Every run offers a new combat signature.
  • Evolution: Optimize your core stats - Speed, Jump, Attack, Defense - and collect passive items to become an anomaly that the system can no longer contain.
  • The 7 Eternals: Test your build against the 7 Eternals, massive bosses corrupted to the core, designed to push your technical mastery and strategy to their absolute limits.
  • Hand-Drawn World: A world entirely drawn and animated by hand, imagined and created with care. Home-made guaranteed!

Smash Run at home. Light on the content right now but a solid foundation with great music and animations. Already fun in it's early access state with tons of potential on where things go next.

This game is too fast, doesn't explain to you most things beyond the basic controls, and most moves don't work after you get just a bit of speed (Globule's Up Air, Globule's Back Air). you get lost very easily, and your build basically doesn't matter when you get to the boss of each run. This game is a complete departure from Decline's Drops, in gameplay, and narrative. I really wanted to like the game. I've been looking forward for this game for so long, and now that I get it, I see it's now such a dissapointment

Hm. What to say about this game. I personally love it, but like. For other people I have no idea what to say. It's fast-paced and intense, and only a little bit unfair with enemy attacks. (The pink highlights indicating active hitboxes helps a lot!) I'd recommend you know a lot about positioning/how scaling up your DPS works across other action roguelikes. Good runs are based on skill more than luck (finding every source of goodies you can, memorizing the maps, pressing Select to check where you are on the map occasionally) Uhhhhh what else do I say here? I'll make a list of highlights. - This game may be based on Smash Run, but Smash Bros could never (this game's baseline movement feels way better than Smash Ultimate, you can chain together your Double Jump, some Up/Side Specials, and Air Dodge to get an insane amount of distance) - If you like the core gameplay but want it to be in a slower paced campaign/story format (Subspace Emissary 2), check out Decline's Drops. - Only the Dodge has consistent invulnerability. If you want to phase through an attack, use that. - There's currently 3 different characters in the game who have entire movesets (Globule, Que Sera, and Pou…

I have been really enjoying this after playing Decline's Drops. It's a very fun, fast paced roguelike with great feeling progression in each run. Having different starting sets makes it really fun to see how your builds progress and how your strengths and weaknesses alter your runs. It definitely feels early access but with the amount of polish DD had, I know this is going to be amazing as development progresses.

Alright, I have played this game for hours until it crashed, so I think I am qualified to speak now lmao I had such a good weekend with this game! It is very rough around the edges, but learning how certain items interact, min-maxing, and discovering secrets kept me pushing through. Sometimes, games simply have good movement and most of the fun is just controlling the character, and this nails that kind of vibe. I loved it! I did have a lot of negative sounding stuff to say though, maybe more for the devs than the consumers. Rougelikes are balancing acts, but I think the two main concepts, drops and moves, are a bit overkill. Drops increase your stats to a very high degree to the point where choosing a preset build didn't really do anything once you know how the game is played. You might say that's where the moves come into play, but... the moves are kind of a pain in the ass? The presets come with incomplete movesets most of the time, so the idea is to fill it out with whatever you like. The problem is basically everything that comes after that, because moves are randomly given to you in the level, but as basic drops instead of selectable loot in a chest. The default sett…

Neat Roguelike. I like how you not only get to build your character's stats, but also their moveset.
