Feels like a joke than actual good puzzle game. You can still play it but it doesn't bring much new to the table.
Take the Cake, developed by Ebenit and published by My Way Games, is a physics-driven puzzle platformer that blends whimsical storytelling with neon-infused level design. At its heart lies a simple, almost comedic premise: a fluffy protagonist named Frank sets out on a quest to recover his stolen cake from robotic antagonists. While the narrative remains light and largely unspoken, it provides enough motivation to frame a series of increasingly intricate platforming challenges. The gameplay revolves around navigating 27 levels spread across multiple thematic environments. Each stage introduces a mix of obstacle courses, environmental puzzles, and mechanical hazards that test both reflexes and planning. Frank’s movement feels weighty due to the game’s physics engine, which makes momentum and timing crucial. Unlike traditional platformers that rely purely on precision jumping, this title often asks players to think spatially, taking into account gravity shifts, moving platforms, and reactive elements within the environment. A defining mechanic is the color-switching system. Frank can change his color to interact with platforms and objects of matching hues, effectively altering whic…

This game is okay, but please wait until it's on sale for like a dollar or two- This game is not that good. The movement feels okay I guess, but all there really is to do is move left, right, and jump, so I would be disappointed if it didn't feel okay. The puzzles are fine, but some of the levels feel a little bit messy. Overall this game is okay, but I wouldn't pay more than like 2 dollars for it. Pretty sure I got it for like a dollar, personally. DO NOT pay full price for this.
🎮 Game Review: Take the Cake

Developer: Ebenit Genre: Platformer, Puzzle Platform: PC (Steam) Release: 2018 🌟 Overview "Take the Cake" is a charming 2.5D platformer and puzzle game developed by Ebenit. With a lighthearted tone and clever mechanics, it invites players on a fun adventure with a friendly robot named Frank, who’s on a mission to… steal a cake! Despite the humorous premise, the game delivers a logic-based experience that balances simple mechanics with smart puzzle design. It’s a great pick for fans of casual thinking games in a relaxing environment. 🎨 Graphics and Visual Style The visuals in "Take the Cake" are clean and colorful, with a cartoon-like charm. The 2.5D aesthetic works well, blending 3D elements with classic side-scrolling gameplay. Each level is well-designed, with good color variation and structure, keeping the experience fresh and visually appealing. Characters and enemies are cute and well-animated, creating a friendly atmosphere that's great for casual players and kids alike. 🎵 Sound and Music The soundtrack is soft and relaxing, perfectly fitting the game’s casual nature. Sound effects are simple but effecti…
