Curse of the Dead Gods

Don't buy this game if you care about 100%. I honestly hate devs that make achievements like memoirs. It's disrespectful to the players.

I love roguelites and enjoyed the first 10 or so hours of gameplay until I discovered that there is virtually no meta progression. Almost none of the unlockables are worth your time. You won't get stronger after each run, you just start over and over again praying to RNGesus so you can maybe beat more bosses. There is no combat variation, because it doesn't really matter which weapon you use. Just make sure it's not a slow weapon, because they are bad later in the game. Generally, there is no real balancing. Most of the traits and powerups are kinda meh, so it doesn't really matter. Game has a nice outside, but isn't pretty on the inside. Oh, and normally I try to beat games I started. This one I won't.

The game is not bad per se, but as many games nowadays it relies too much in RNG, not beng able to choose my starting weapon kills the mood, i have to use a weapon i dont rly like while i cannot play the build i am excited about, downer.

Very good game, on a discount it's a no brainer.

Curse of the Dead Gods offers a methodical, stamina-dependent tactical combat system. It is a punishing roguelite where patience and spacing are mandatory. Mastering the parry mechanic is not optional—it is the only reliable way to survive late-game boss encounters. The combat is deeply skill-based, but suffers from one critical design flaw: stunlocks. If you take the first strike of a multi-hit combo, you cannot dodge or parry the rest. The lack of recovery frames feels inherently unfair. Despite the frustrating stunlocks and a progression system that eventually turns into a tedious grind, the core loop remains highly addictive. It is a solid, challenging game, but strictly recommended on a deep discount.
