PARANORMASIGHT: The Mermaid's Curse

This is a great follow up to an already great game. I do think the pacing suffers at times from overly big lore drops, but overall I was invested in the twisty plot, the colorful characters (I'd buy Avi's books) and the cool minigames. The animation was generally a success to me though some of the facial expressions were a bit off, also them reusing some of the same musical cues felt weird to me, but yeah, a great game!

Whilst not necessarily bad, it is a huge stepdown from the first installment in the series. It trades in it's unsettling vibes for a more coming of age story and abandons half their characters throughout the story. The stakes feel like they're in reverse. If you are in for something more mysterious, visual novelly and at the end of the day sweet, The Mermaid's Curse is for you. However, if you were into the horror vibes that Seven Mysteries had, you'd honestly be better off skipping this one.

Great game, short but enjoyed the zero escape style timeline and it had a good story. Just a little short, though.

Brilliant horror visual novel. Really recommend. Not as scary as the first, but just as intetesting. I hope we get more.

This game is great! It's about friendship, selfless, eternal love, honor ~ Cons: Comparing to the prequel, it lacks the constant thrill and twist, and the main characters are not as charming and interesting as the previous ones, less fun, and the story telling, especially all those first chapters of Avi and Circe, Sodo and Yumeko are plain and boring, I get sleepy playing through to get to the good ones. Still, it is 9/10 <3
