GRID Legends is a fun arcade racing game with tight handling, good presentation, and an entertaining Nemesis system that keeps races dynamic, though players are divided on its story mode and frustrated by floaty car feel on wheels, questionable music design, and limited car customization options. Core racing enthusiasts who disable assists and play with a controller generally enjoy it, but those seeking depth in tuning or realistic wheel support may find the experience disappointing.

Horrible trash UI but the game is very fun.
I want to be clear. I've only played a few hours at this point, so I've only been playing the story mode. I'll update the review once I go in further. That said, I wanted to push it out there that this works on Steam Machine perfectly. I'm running the game on Ultra High at 1440p and it runs great. If you skip skip skip through all the prompts before a race super quick, sometimes frame rate feels juttery until you hit pause for a second, then go back into the race. Otherwise if you listen to the voiceover at the intro then continue, you're set. So far: Music sounds like it is a clone of a serious drama movie or a suspension thriller. It's completely out of place and in races extremely distracting. I'd recommend turning it off in races. Without it, the experience drastically improves. EA Nonesense: It does force you to login to your EA account, but unlike other EA games it actually remembers the login so it's a one and done. That's good. Story: Past the music this has to be by far the worst aspect of the game so far. The story is just ... bad. Actors/scripts don't play out like anyone would ever act while being recorded in public (the characters are aware they're being fi…
Other racers can blow tires, rip wheels off, blow engines, and completely wreck in front of you giving the race a level of unpredictability that absolutely NONE of the other racing games offer. The rain collects, pools, and flows, obscuring your vision. Causing you to have to learn what it means when a professional driver tells you "learn to look past it". I give it a solid 9/10- it would be perfect if it was balanced better. Anything below "Very Hard" is trivial but the jump from "Very Hard" to "Insane", or Legend as the game calls it, causes a massive spike in difficulty. Graphics are good. I am coming here after playing it on my Switch 2 and was hoping to be impressed even more by the graphics. But other than the resolution they are extremely similar. Kudos to the Switch 2's hardware I guess.
