✦ AI summary

Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis TD successfully returns the series to its roots with refined tower defense gameplay, improved visuals, and a well-received upgrade system that combines the best elements of previous titles while addressing complaints about earlier entries straying too far from the formula. Players consistently praise the engaging level design, excellent soundtrack, tower variety, and charming easter eggs, though some note a difficulty gap between Veteran and Impossible modes that could use better balancing.

The game is engaging and a nice follow-on to the KR franchise. I like the multiple scenarios per location and enjoy yet another variation in the gameplay.

Gotta be top 3 Kingdom Rush games of all time. It seems like a slight drawback and correction from the pit-falls of the last 2 games, while they were great they strayed a bit to far away from the KR formula, being overlay saturated colors/art style, and level design + gameplay. The new and remastered soundtracks are some of the best in the series. Levels are unique and fun that feels a bit like KR1 in some aspects but just remastered, love the towers and the increase attack speed that previous games were lacking. Also sound effects and enemy variety work very well here. 5/5. Being able to use the original KR1 towers with the intact old SFX is awesome!

If you enjoy other Kingdom Rush titles then your'e going to enjoy this one. They don't rewrite the playbook on tower defense but it is well executed and entertaining for the duration of your playthrough. I also always love the little easter eggs hidden throughout the stages, they really do have me clicking on every little detail to see if I can find anymore surprises! My only issue is with the difficulty scaling, my first play through was on Veteran as you can't choose the Impossible difficulty your first time. With that being said, Veteran difficulty is too easy in my opinion and the jump to Impossible difficulty on my second playthrough was extremely unforgiving. I'm not saying Impossible is too difficult, but I do think Veteran needs to be tweaked to bridge the gap a bit more!
