STAR WARS™: Battlefront Classic Collection

This review is based on the single-player experience of the Classic Collection due to the multiplayer being dry and desolate as the sands of Tatooine. [h3] Intro [/h3] The campaigns for both BF1 and BF2 are what I expected them to be, having already played their respective games before this "rerelease." BF2 is generally a better game that builds off its predecessor with faster-paced gameplay, space battles, and a better campaign. With the Classic Collection now available at a 35-dollar price tag, you can experience both games in one package that is updated to be used on modern gaming consoles with support for widescreen resolutions and 64-player battles. These two games were also ported from their console versions, which includes improvements for BF2, such as an animated main menu, bug fixes (e.g., missing movie cutscenes and voicelines), and new bonus content exclusive to the console version of BF2. I did not encounter any game-breaking bugs or any missing cutscenes during my playthrough, but there were quite a few minor bugs that…

No se si en Deck y en PC con mando irá mejor, pero con teclado y ratón, por lo menos en el port de BTF1 no puedes ni moverte en diagonal sin que el muñeco convulsione y se quede parado, la cañonera LAAT de la misión de Geonosis si intentas moverte lateralmente, buena suerte, acabas de activar el salto al hiperespacio y puedes observar el suelo acercándose rápidamente a ti. El port de BTF2 mejora un poco respecto al previo. Pero el menú de las órdenes para la IA funciona cuando quiere. [EN] Atrocious port, OGs beat this by FAR. Idk if on Deck & PC with controller would run better, but with M&K, at least in BTF1's port you can't even move diagonally without the character getting a seizure and get stuck on place. LAAT Gunship from Geonosis mission, if you try to move sideways, good luck, you just activated the jump into hyperspace and you'll meet the ground shortly. BTF2's port runs a little better than the previous. But AI commands menu don't always work.

Screw the developers. They literally abandoned the game. That said, if you have a Steam Machine and you're obviously just playing Offline, the game is perfect. All the plethora of offline issues and bugs that occur in the PC and console versions of this game are non-existent. Set to Proton Experimental, and enjoy.

To be real, the game runs fine in singleplayer except one problem.. keyboard imput delay is horrid. While everything else is fine, it makes the game unplayable.

Only bought it cause it has controller and splitscreen support... and was beyond disappointed. The aiming feels awful compared to the og versions of even the consoles, i encountered a few bugs ive never seen in any of the other releases either. Awful experience

This game is great on the Steam Deck, ran through the first game's campaign and felt just like I did when I was a kid on my PS2. However on my main PC, there are just some controller issues and crashes where it isn't worth the headache booting it up at home.
