Immerse yourself in a gorgeously grotesque cartoon adventure inspired by classic European folklore, where you'll gather magical allies and piece together the mystery of a kingdom consumed by darkness.

Help Lars through a spinning carousel of dark events as he travels around his land to find Ellie, his little sister, and other girls kidnapped by an unnamed evil. Fight your fears, gather new allies, and solve numerous puzzles that will lead you to the truth.

Once upon a time, young Lars left his father’s cabin to rescue his little sister, spirited away by an evil power… It all started when the lean years came. An unknown force of evil began terrorizing a peaceful kingdom, kidnapping their children and the innocent inhabitants of the forest. What was once a peaceful kingdom where humans and fantastic creatures lived together in harmony became a land of gloom and fear. No one was free from misfortune and tragedy in those times -- neither was Lars and his family. One day, two spooky guests visited his father’s cabin. Lars’ father was beaten to the brink of death, and his little sister Ellie fell under the visitors’ mind control magic and left with them. Lars managed to escape, and thanks to the new magical friends he’s making on his way, he’s determined to bring his sister back to safety.- Solve clever puzzles to help Lars rescue his little sister
- Enjoy a narrative-focused, accessible gameplay suitable for newcomers and veterans alike
- Explore a magical kingdom inspired by the legends of Central European oral tradition, once compiled by the Grimm Brothers, where magic creatures try to coexist peacefully with mankind — and sometimes, even protect them from evil forces.
- Feel the gloomy essence of this creepy tale through its decadent cartoonish art style.

✦ AI summary

Creepy Tale 2 is praised for its atmospheric Eastern European-inspired art style, visuals, music, and dark folklore storytelling that successfully creates an eerie, memorable experience. However, players are divided on the puzzle design, with some finding them rewarding and observation-based while others consider them obscure and frustrating, often requiring guides to progress. Most reviewers recommend the game for its compelling atmosphere and presentation, though those who struggle with obtuse puzzle logic or prefer traditional point-and-click mechanics may find it less enjoyable.

I gave this game a thumbs down, but that doesn't mean it's a bad game, just that I wouldn't recommend it. It has a lot of good stuff going for it; it's probably more my personal tastes as to the thumbs down.. The art style, visuals, music, and dialgue were good; they definitely have that Eastern European/Grimm feel to them. The puzzles and achievements were the letdown for me. The puzzles were challenging, which isn't necessarily a bad thing as a lot of them could be worked out, but a bunch were "How was I meant to work that out?" or "What would lead me to that?" even after learning the answer. The achievements were the same. I got < 50% though random things during the playthrough and the rest I'd have no idea what to do. Thank goodness for walkthroughs and guides to get me through and enable me to 100% it. That's ultimately the reason for the thumbs down. Needing a little help from time to time is fine, but I felt I had to consult guides/walkthrough too frequently, and I can't recommend a game I feel I need to be guided through as often. Admittedly, this could just be a me issue, but I feel perhaps reflects on the game too.

Recommended. A dark Slavic folklore-horror sequel that upgrades everything (voice acting, richer art, triple the length) while keeping the wordless picture-book discipline, sending a boy through an autumn forest of possessed girls and flesh-eating butterflies. The puzzles reward real observation (shape-side counting for a chest lock, candle notes on a piano, stained-glass wave directions), the living-water idol system builds a bridge out of servants' own bodies, and poison brewing by leaf-colour rune matching is a highlight. The morbidity (a witch's child-recipe cookbook, living cocoons) never numbs. The chapter-three swamp-hiding gauntlet soft-locks wrong hiding choices into restarts, the diary's decorative font renders its Rs as Zs, the first game's jump is gone, and both ending cutscenes are extremely short. The decisive upgrade that makes its predecessor look like a test run.

Boring. Also, CT2 commits many a capital sin that ancient good devs had expunged long ago. Thus there is no save menu, replaced with unprofessionally deficient checkpoints. Thus controls are not Point n' Click, often demanding pocket phone gestures. Thus there are no good puzzles. only Moon logic flops, backtracking abuse, or combinations with poor visibility (or none at all when the clue is audio only.) But, mostly, it's boring, which is enough to be recommended against. The poorly told story and its gratuitous cruelty routine aren't entertaining. Not to mention how distracting the consistently poor voice acting is. The nonsensical puzzles and chores aren't entertaining, There will be no CT3 for me.

It's the experience from the game that counts the most, and the whole series (I've played 1,2 and 3 so far) has satisfied me in full. Catching story, beatiful drawings, good and interesting puzzles, invigorating action parts. I enjoyed the play from the beginning till the end, and I'm looking forward to playing other Creepy Brothers' games I've already bought.

Overall, I enjoyed the game. It has a creepy atmosphere and beautiful visuals. I usually avoid using guides when playing games, but here either I'm just dumb or some of the puzzles are way too obscure, so I ended up having to Google the solutions quite often.
