Legendary

First playthrough review time. Legendary has a simple story and the characters are not very deep, but they fit the style of this kind of action game. The game also has the look and style of an old action movie, which gives it a different character. The gameplay is mostly linear. You move through the levels, shoot enemies, and continue to the next area. The maps are simple, and the enemy AI is weak in some parts, but the shooting works well and the action keeps moving at a good pace. There is a bug in one of the levels. Another one in the list of games that present themselves with a fun and interesting premise, and then simply do not deliver on it. Why does this happen so often? Every time this happens, the people behind the work must see it too, right? I once again went into the game fully expecting to enjoy it because of the set-up alone. Sure it'll probably be a mediocre shooter, but mythical creatures running around urban environments is cool! Surely they'll have the griffons from the cover, the minotaurs, maybe harpies, imps, mermaids, dragons, chimeras, medusas, etc. Nope! ♥♥♥♥ that I guess. Roughly 80% of this game is just shooting werewolves and guys with guns. This ♥♥♥♥ is actually mindboggling. The game has an absolutely miniscule bestiary, but they couldn't even be bothered to use anything but werewolves outside of a few specific sections. The minotaurs? I'm pretty sure there's like 5 across the entire game. Griffons? You only really fight two of them, and it only happens over halfway through the game. Most of the time you will also simply one shot them with a rocket launcher. You know, why do all that cool mythical ♥♥♥♥ when we could have an Xbox take on The Da Vinci Code? There's a…

Crazy to think a game from 2008 could kick this much butt! It is fresh, original, a blast and a half to play! Amazing music, epic fights, crazy boss battles, and really good visuals for the time! For the price of a coffee...it is so worth it This is one that can drop to 50 cents and it is still worth it I am so bummed we will never get a sequel, but I am honored I was able to experience it finally 9/10 Not giving 10...cause of that damn elevator glitch (fixed it) but still unforgiveable

Honestly? It's not *that* bad, at least not as bad as people made it out to be, as long as you don't go in expecting too much Guns are fun, killing things is satisfying. And if you're fatigued by the glorified movies that AAA studios have been pumping out for the last decade or so that take 20 or more hours to finish, this one only took me seven. It's doable in probably five. On the downside, it's buggy, it's dated, it doesn't have much enemy variety, story is pretty cheesy (which in my opinion adds to the charm), and the ending is absolute ass and ends in a cliffhanger If you're looking to play a game that has that distinct mid-00s/early 2010s innocence to it, this game is for you if you can handle the jank. Also: if you happen to get the game-breaking bug towards the end of the story where you fall through the elevator and out of the map, changing the max frames from 300 to 30 in the engine configuration ini fixed it for me, just change it back when you get to the next checkpoint

aside from a single crash and the final elevator in the game softlocking me 3 times, i'd say i enjoyed this game despite the fact it isn't that amazing, limited arsenal of weapons, the worst jumping i have ever seen in any game period, limited enemy types despite it is meant to pull from all different mythologies which consists of mostly werewolves and generic enemy soldiers, characters and villain that exist just to drive the plot. the only reason i probably liked it is because of how ridiculous and over the top it is with people dying, especially with how the main villain ends up dying, i'd wait for it to go on discount and give it a try then.

Never understood the hate for this game. and its even better on pc.
