About Oh!Ware

The gods are watching, your ancestors whisper guidance. Oh!Ware is a reimagining of the ancient game of Mancala as a deck-building roguelike rooted in African mythology, blending traditional seed-sowing gameplay with the modern depth of Slay the Spire, and Monster Train.

Features A Spiritual Puzzle-Battler: Ancient strategy meets modern roguelike design. Every marble placement alters the board and your destiny.
  • Build Your Marble Deck: Collect over 100+ unique marbles with elemental powers, synergies, and effects: Burn, Bless, Drain, Poison, and more.
  • Face the Pantheon: Battle through 3 mythic biomes; The Jungle, Plains, and Mountains. Each ruled by divine guardians and hidden hazards.
  • Challenging Difficulty: Each map has 8 Ascensions available to challenge even the best players
  • Dynamic Hazards: Beware Floods, Poisonous vegetation, and more that can change the board mid-run. Adapt your strategy or be overwhelmed.
  • Ancestral Charms: Find and equip 100+ charms that bend fate. Double up captures, apply divine protection, or unleash forbidden power.
  • Evolving Synergies: Experiment with marble combinations to create devastating chain reactions and divine blessings.
  • Quick, Replayable Runs: Average 30–40 minute sessions designed for mastery, experimentation, and spiritual discovery.
  • Challenge the Pantheon: Defeat powerful bosses who embody the wrath and wisdom of the gods.

Oh!Ware is a fun time. Simple enough to pick up but when things start clicking the gears will really start turning.

Hadn't played mancala in so many years before I found this. Interesting concept that I like with what seems to be quite a bit of variety, still trying to learn everything.

I've waited for years for a mancala roguelike and this one exceeds expectations! Deeper gameplay than it first appears, multiple game modes, and delightful audiovisuals await <3

i am not much of a rogue like person so I set one of my friends loose on this and sat back and watched. He happily played for 4 hours, and then went home, bought the game, and played more. The game is extremely stylish and I really love the way the gods are integrated into it, and there are a lot more variations on the gameplay than I expected within our relatively short play time! I really enjoy seeing a game grounded in mythos other than Greek gods (again)!

As someone who loved playing mancala with my friends growing up, I'm delighted by this game. It starts out fairly simple and maybe a bit unexciting at the beginning, where it feels like you're just using the same mancala strategy over and over again, but once you start unlocking more marbles and relics, things get really wild and tons of new strategies open up. Explanations tend to be brief, so the game can be confusing at times; you have to learn from experience. Overall, a unique and stylish roguelike that I'm excited to spend more time with.

Fun little mix of Balatro-like deckbuilding and Mancala. The theorycrafting isn't as deep as some deckbuilders, but it still requires a little bit of thought. Good for when you want only want 30-60 minutes of gaming.
