✦ AI summary

Audioshield is a VR rhythm game with solid gameplay mechanics that players loved at its core, but it has been abandoned by its developer and now suffers from severe compatibility issues with modern VR hardware, Proton, and contemporary music integration systems. Players praise the unique gameplay when it works, but widespread crashes, bugs, and the tedious process of manually managing music libraries have made it difficult to recommend, especially to newcomers. Most suggest this is worth experiencing only if you have compatible older hardware and patience for its technical problems.

This game is not compatible with the Steam Frame. I liked it on the HTC Vibe but on modern Hardware it does not work

I used to absolutely love **Audioshield**. It was one of the best VR rhythm games ever made. Unfortunately, it has been completely abandoned by the developer. The biggest issue is music. Instead of being able to easily access new songs, you're now forced to jump through hoops using your own music library, downloading tracks, and transferring them to your headset. What used to be a seamless "pick a song and play" experience has become a chore. To make matters worse, the game is now riddled with crashes, bugs, and compatibility issues with newer VR hardware and software. It's obvious it hasn't been maintained in years. The gameplay is still fantastic at its core, but without continued support, modern music integration, and basic compatibility fixes, it's hard to recommend to new players. It's sad to see such an innovative VR game fade away. **RIP Audioshield.** It deserved so much better.

One of the very few music games that exist on steam in VR form, sadly overshadowed by competitors. Recomending for genre lovers, its has unique mechanics!

If anyone from Valve is reading this: FIX! THIS! GAME! It is hopelessly broken with Proton, and nothing can make it work. It's a real shame, too. It looks fun.
