Beautiful art style, creepy atmosphere, and a really interesting story. The mix of cartoon aesthetics and horror works incredibly well. Puzzles and chase sequences are fun, although a few moments can be frustrating. Also, it runs super clean at 120 FPS in 4K on my setup. Absolutely gorgeous game. Score 9/10

Such high hopes. Such disappointment. I appreciate the efforts with the handdrawn animation but oh boy, was this game rushed both in production and release. - It is buggy as hell (compressed audio and images, wrong format for cutscenes, buttons off screen when you need to interact with them...) - the story is all over the place, the gameplay as well (why have one of the characters break the 4th wall and give us a tuto for a mini game when all tutos had been in pop up windows??) - the chara designs are subpar, the colors way off when they could be vibrant, making it look like the characters are in the darkest pit of hell even in bright scenery. The animation is slow and a bit amateurish. Not as much Disney as the weird offbrand type. Or maybe somewhat Quasimodo's 2nd movie. Yeah. - everything is laggy making some levels really frustrating to go through - I was bored out of my wits and checked out of the story by chapter 3 or 4, and could not care less for the rest of the story. The message was clumsy, the dialogues poorly written, and the voices poorly acted. Some text was voiced, some was not... really unequal treatment, making me think that some of it was a last minute add. …

The art style, music, animation, and storyline drew me in initially. Gorgeous game by the way, fell in love with it the second I watched the trailer! Although I had some gripes with the janky controls, especially trying to run diagonally vs horizontally not registering properly at the end of the stairs really annoyed me. Sometimes the prompts wouldn't show up properly which made me sit at a level or room for way longer than anticipated. The gameplay in general was repetitive and a tad boring since I felt like the puzzles truly weren't puzzling as you'd think.. If anything, tedious. I also do wish the movements felt smoother as well. I think the wonky controls hindered my enjoyment of the game overall. Storyline was amazing though, I definitely cried a bunch towards the end. Loved the message/depiction around feminism. I think this game's idea was a lot better than the execution but nonetheless, I still enjoyed playing it and would recommend to anyone if it was on sale!

ok i finally finished this game and i have to say it was quite the journey. i have no qualms with the mechanics of this game and i found the puzzles really engaging. My main problem is theres not much to do after beating it outside simply replaying (finished in less than 10 hours worth of gameplay) so def wait for it to be cheaper, never pay full price. id say this game is worth 75% off honestly. Story: the story is of lana whose looking for her friend carol. a lot of supernatural and fantasy elements happen and the story gives alice in wonderland. Theres a heaviness in feminism in this game but i do feel a massive hiccup is 1. lana is quite annoying and 2. intersectionality becomes present in this game as carol, the only black character in this whole thing, seems to be the sacrifice for the progression of the main character. many people wont see a problem with this but considering the actual history of black womens treatment during the womens suffrage movement i find the choice to be poor taste. Outside of that this is a relatively engaging story and there are genuine moments of heart racing palpitations. id give this a 6.8/10.

I really like this game, while it can get a little cringy with how they convey the women's liberation message as it can sooo in your face, the story is still incredibly beautiful and is the highlight of why you should play this game. The only minor complaints that i had were that the audio and subtitles would sometimes just cut in the middle of characters talking before they could finish, same thing with the music transitions it can be a little jarring, and that certain prompts to interact with an object wouldn't appear until i interacted with it at least once.
