Medieval Dynasty

This game feels so lacking im shocked its been out for 6 years for a game about building a village the things you can actually build are so limiting. Once you have unlocked the biggest house you get to a point there is nothing to work towards this game lacks a good mid game section as it now feels you go from early game to late game. The tavern being one of the last things you unlock feels odd it should be earlier along with that this game lacks impressive buildings cant make a church cant make a manor or a castle all houses are single floor houses so your village will end up being very boring in terms of elevation. This game feels far too small for what it tries to be if it had an actual mid game progression wise where it felt like I was unlocking exciting stuff instead of building the same old things until I finally got enough points to unlock the end game items. Give me houses with multiple floors that can combine artisans with living along with a church to become the center of a city the game is set in Poland afterall once you have established basic automation the game lacks a purpose unless you like placing down the exact same buildings over and over again without good customi…

Questionably homophobic Dev team with not letting same sex people live together in a medieval village role-playing survival game because there's "problems later on". Also the fact that a man can't be assigned to a house that a woman lives in but a woman can be assigned to a house that a man lives in speaks volumes, especially when it's played off as a "bug". On top of how illogical and poorly designed the crafting and progression are as well, the cities and its NPCS are really just for show and have no functional capabilities whatsoever besides having people you sell/buy random trash to/from. I would really only play this game if you like tedious building grind, funny voice acting, and don't mind paying for something that should not even come close to $20.

This game is Stardew Valley 3D. I thought my least favourite mechanic would be the combat, but it's a lot more fun than I anticipated. You can play this game any way you like, you could run around as a bloodthirsty 20 year old mother of one killing every bandit you spot and showing wolves who the true alpha of the pack is (like yours truly), or just chill, farm, build your village and live in peace. 10/10, no notes.

I have over 700 hours in Medieval Dynasty. That sentence should tell you two things. First, this is an excellent game. Second, I am extremely qualified to complain about it. I keep coming back. These days, admittedly, this is partly because I have run out of other games to play and apparently my solution to a gaming drought is to found yet another medieval municipality. But I genuinely love this game. I love its positivity. I love that I can adjust the settings until the experience fits me almost perfectly. I can build, manage, explore, produce, trade and generally live my peaceful little medieval life without the game insisting that misery builds character. The problem is that Medieval Dynasty gives me the tools to build an entire functioning society, then seems genuinely surprised when I want to do something with it. I have money. Please let me spend it. Eventually, my settlements become economic monsters. I have farmers. Craftspeople. Miners. Lumberjacks. Market stalls. Production chains. Everything feeds everything else, the villagers work, the money pours in, and eventually I reach the pinnacle of medieval achievement: I need absolutely nothing. I don't need the tow…
