not rly scawy and not rly hard (even on nightmare, but i didnt play insane yet, so we'll see), but HELLA cool, i've had most fun playing on normal cuz then the game turns into a runner. bad choice to give player infinite run and health in a stealth game, but because this game isnt rly scary, it made the game even more fun. The only problem I have w/ this game is its confusing at times, because there was multiple times I was walking around the item I need, without noticing it, and sometimes I was trying to find where to go, only for my way to be blocked by a high obstacle and I thought to myself "no way, that's too high to climb, I need to find another way" only to make a few laps around the map and by trial and error find out that I can indeed climb that wall, but tbh that's on me for not paying enough attention. good runner. bad horror. add limited stamina and health bar to keep the player on edge, and make enemies deal more damage so there's more risk for running by them. (ik they not gonna read this, but perhaps another fellow game dev will read this, and i hope they can learn something :3c)

To be blunt, this game is overhyped and doesn't deserve the praise or attention it gets. I'm sure most of these things have been said before but let me get into it starting with the best things about it and moving to the worst. Graphics and art direction are fine! The creators put work into the visuals and beyond them being decent fidelity the atmosphere and bad guys are pretty neat to look at. Nothing super special. But very serviceable. I probably wouldn't have mentioned them if I wasn't trying to be as generous as I can reasonably justify. Story! It's well put together and coherent, the characters have motivations and the things people do make sense. But at its core is the ablest idea that mentally people have a dangerous predisposition to misanthropy and violence. I don't think the developers intended it, but it verges on bigoted in the later half of the game. Gameplay is bad. You primarily just sit in one spot waiting a kill box to move away from an objective, It's grating and boring and dragged the entire horror genre backwards by years. Truly terribly designed gameplay. I've played literal solitaire remakes with better stealth horror mechanics. I'm not joking. Cursed sol…
