Sherlock Holmes: The Mystery of the Persian Carpet

I always play series from the beginning, and frogwares has made a long line of Sherlock Holmes games. I think this was their first. I normally like hidden object adventure games, but this one was very frustrating. luckily i was playing on casual and was able to skip a lot of the puzzles as some of them were very unclear what I needed to do, or the controls were just crappy. The hidden object scenes were no better there were things i needed to find that were so dark that they just blended in with the scenery. There were a iimited number of hints so I tried to really use it sparingly, and since there was no wrong click penalty, i wound up using my turbo mouse click button on my mouse and sort of just moved the mouse around til i found something at multiple points. The 'dust' and shoe prints were the most eggregious of these. I get it its old, its low res, i'm sure when it first came out in 2008 it wasn't so bad on an old crt monitor or what have you, but the steam release was 2021 and they really should have remastered some of this. EDIT: I found out this was the third. Seemed older but I guess Mystery of the Mummy came out in 2002.

I have think this game will be some boring old 1st made Sherlock Holmes game, but no this game blew my expectations, this is another masterpiece from Sherlock Holmes franchise, recommended to be played, don't be scared like me that it weights less, the graphics are fine and puzzles are challenging. In short enjoy your play!

I went with this one as my very first Sherlock Holmes game because i heard its bad. Overrall its alright to me, neutral review would be what id give this one.

Got this as part of a Sherlock Holmes collection as I like detective games. It's perhaps the worst point & click game I've ever played, can't play any further.
