I hate to be so negative about such a small game, but... what the HECK kinda story is that? If you're going to try and infuse your hidden object game with lore and a story, maybe you should actually run with it instead of ending it
SO abruptly with potential MURDER
? Aside from THAT... the game is fine I guess. I hate giving it a thumbs down, but I can't bring myself to give it a thumbs up. The gameplay itself is fine and I enjoyed the puzzles, but the devs really shot themselves in the foot with how they chose to conclude their game... really ruined the whole thing :')

Voodoo Whisperer: Curse of a Legend is a supernatural hidden-object adventure developed by Gogii Games and published by Strategy First that blends classic item-hunting mechanics with light spellcraft and a moody New Orleans backdrop steeped in voodoo folklore. Designed as a story-driven casual puzzle experience, it leans heavily into atmosphere and thematic intrigue rather than fast-paced gameplay or intricate mechanics. The result is a methodical adventure that unfolds through observation, inventory management, and gradual narrative revelation. The story follows Lillian, a young apprentice studying under a powerful voodoo priestess. When her mentor falls victim to a mysterious curse that plunges the surrounding town into a magical slumber, Lillian must step into an unexpected role as savior. Her journey takes her across shadowed streets, abandoned buildings, and mystical locations as she gathers ingredients, deciphers clues, and attempts to reverse the enchantment. The narrative draws inspiration from voodoo legend and early twentieth-century New Orleans mystique, giving the adventure a distinct cultural flavor that separates it from more generic fantasy settings. Gameplay adher…
Warning: Broken Game! This game has design/implementation defects that will render this unplayable for many gamers. the game doesn't launch properly, it just forces your desktop into a locked 800x600 resolution and hangs, but you can at least alt+tab and kill the game process to recover your desktop.
"Voodoo Whisperer Curse of a Legend" is an older game from 2014. It's a venerable 10 years old at the time of this review. "Voodoo Whisperer Curse of a Legend" is a Hidden Object puzzle game, the type you normally see on mobile app stores or even as browser apps. There's literally hundreds of these on Steam, mostly published by Artifex Mundi, many of them free on mobile app stores, but this one will cost you money on Steam. There's a historial/mystery theme to the game, but this is a just a veneer over a tired and overdone set of hidden object minigames and Adobe Flash tier puzzles, wrapped together with a bunch of static screens that you "move" through by tapping your finger on your iPhone screen. While these kinds of games are popular amongst casual gamers, it's difficult to argue this is a great value proposition as a PC game, especially considering the …
Save New Orleans from A Dark Voodoo Curse
Continuing my trend of playing hidden object adventure games, I decided to try this one after an okay experience with The Fog. This one felt even more fitting for the Spooky Season, which was really lovely. Set in 19th-century New Orleans, we play as a young girl named Lillian, who is being mentored to use her magical abilities by Marie Laveau, the most powerful voodoo priestess around. However, as we are being taught, an evil and mysterious curse is set upon the entire town, putting each person into a deep sleep-like state and trapping their souls in the spirit world. It’s up to us to save everyone before everything becomes lost in darkness. Throughout our adventure, we will learn spells and create potions that will help with a variety of tasks, from getting objects to returning people’s souls and much more. Can we save our teacher and lift this awful curse for good? Compared to other HO adventure games, this one felt slightly different, especially in terms of the graphics, but I don’t know if that’s due to the game's age. I really liked how this felt and thought its use of atmosphere was well done. It captured the spoo…
