- What is "The Men of Yoshiwara: Ohgiya"?
This is a romance game for women, with the famous Yoshiwara pleasure districts as the setting -- but with the roles of men and women reversed!

- The Story
Deep in the center of an island lies the Yoshiwara pleasure district. Never does its beauty, nor bustling activity, wane in the slightest.
Full of doubt and wonder, which courtesan will you have chosen by the end of a seemingly endless night?

- The Guys
Takigawa
The most popular courtesan at Ohgiya in the pleasure district. He conceals a lonely secret in the guise of arrogance.

Asagiri
A free and wild spirit who refuses to be tamed. He is a truly self-indulgent lover of women, and is like a little brother to Takigawa.

Gakuto
A confident and rugged courtesan. He holds a certain ambition, but has a lovable side to him...

Utsusemi
Grew up as an orphan. He holds his companions above all others, but seeks to uncover his true parents.

Ageha
A young man yet to take a customer, knowing neither love nor woman. He is looked after by Gakuto.

i'm only at one route left, and considering the low expectations I had, the game is actually somewhat enjoyable. I always love reading steamy or hot otome games, so this one is worth trying if you’re also running out of otome backlog. Just be aware that the story can get a little dark.

Each route is pretty short but the overall story is well-written. I like the art and all characters. But how Musashi doesn't have a route of his own?... It pained me every time seeing him holding back his love for MC. Please add Musashi route too!!!

The Men of Yoshiwara: Ohgiya, developed by Dogenzaka Lab and published by Dogenzaka Lab and D3PUBLISHER, is a story-driven otome visual novel that leans heavily on its unusual setting and character-focused storytelling. Set in a fictional version of Yoshiwara where societal roles are reversed and male courtesans entertain female clients, the game immediately distinguishes itself with a premise that blends historical inspiration with romantic fantasy. This backdrop is not just decorative—it shapes the tone of every interaction, grounding the romance in a world defined by obligation, hierarchy, and emotional restraint. The gameplay follows the familiar structure of a visual novel, with players progressing through text-driven scenes and making occasional choices that influence the direction of the story. Each route centers on a different male character, allowing players to explore multiple perspectives within the same setting. These branching paths encourage replayability, as different decisions lead to alternate developments and endings. While the mechanics themselves are simple, the appeal lies in how those choices shape relationships and reveal new aspects of the characters. Char…

its a good read! I chose Utsusemi as my first interest and was not disappointed. The CG's are very lovely and the flirtation is quite endearing. my only gripe with the game is that the 'Spicy" scenes are rather tame compared to what was advertised. not bad but i wanted to see his peen. alas. Good Read!

💮🌸💮 I really liked this, honestly. I wasn’t expecting anything amazing, especially given how cheap it was on sale but I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed the story. It’s definitely a matter of personal taste, and this kind of genre is exactly what I’ve been looking for. The scenes played out just how I imagined they would. So far, I got Asagiri’s “super happy” ending, and while I did enjoy it, I can’t deny something still feels a little off. Like others have mentioned, I’m not a big fan of him continuing to take on clients when we’re clearly a thing now. But I get it—it’s his job, and in a way, he’s doing it for you, to help you rebuild your shop. Still, it leaves a bittersweet taste. This is a nice little game if you’re in the mood for something cute and light perfect if you want a quick romance without heavy drama or complicated mechanics. I’d definitely recommend picking it up during a sale; it’s a cozy experience worth the price. 💮🌸💮
