In short, my experience: You spend a long time planning the crime or situation and carefully selecting evidence. Then the detective or another character discovers a small mistake that ruins your entire plan in seconds. You restart the game to try a completely different option. The game is relatively short and relies on multiple endings and replayability. It's not huge by the standards of major games, but it offers a unique and extremely enjoyable concept for its price. I recommend it to anyone looking for a short and different police experience."

The Deed: Dynasty is a beautifully grim, choice-driven 2D adventure that flips the traditional murder mystery genre completely on its head. Instead of playing the detective, you act as the villain across three distinct historical timelines, a 15th-century castle, a Wild West saloon, and a Victorian estate with the sole objective of committing the perfect murder and framing an innocent bystander. The core gameplay acts as an intricate logic puzzle where you must carefully choose your weapon, plant evidence, and successfully lie your way through a tense police interrogation. While its retro RPG Maker visual aesthetic is quite basic and the short, repetitive dialogue loops can get tedious during multiple playthroughs, the vast web of branching endings and sheer replayability make it a deeply satisfying casual strategy title.

Good concept, but far too dated for a positive review. Edit: just found out this game came out in 2016. Looks worse than Daggerfall, which came out like 20 years earlier.
