1931: Scheherazade at the Library of Pergamum is a remarkably dense mixture of visual novel storytelling, role-playing progression, life simulation, romance, and globe-trotting pulp adventure. Developed and published by Black Chicken Studios, inc., it follows Scheherazade “Sadie” Keating, a young aspiring archaeologist whose search for answers surrounding her missing parents draws her into a much larger world of mysteries, dangerous expeditions, unusual discoveries, supernatural intrigue, and complicated relationships. Instead of presenting these events as a purely linear story, the game gives players considerable control over how Sadie develops and which opportunities become part of her journey. I have more visual novels than I ought to, and this is a title that makes me question why my library is so full of random things. Visual Novels always have a bit of an upward battle with me, and this failed to make it very far up the mountainous terrain that is my brain's funtime zone.

Nice little story game with a likable mc, sure the skills are a mess and good luck figuring out how to do stuff but for 2 euros? absolutely worth it
