The 50s, New York City: Joe Dunn, owner of a boxing club, is found dead.Meanwhile, rising star Bobby Yale, due to take to the ring for the most important fight of his career, has mysteriously disappeared.
Sonia Dunn, Joe’s daughter, takes over the gym and must deal with its financial woes. She hires private detective John Blacksad to investigate Yale’s disappearance. This sinister case will take our investigator to the darkest, most dismal depths of New York.
With its anthropomorphic characters and its incredible 1950s feel, BLACKSAD: Under the Skin promises all the eerily dark adventure of a detective novel, just like the eponymous comic book series.
Conduct the investigation in your own way. Make use of your feline senses as you hunt for new clues. Make decisions on behalf of Blacksad and influence the outcome of the case.

I LOVE THIS GAME - soundtrack - writing - art direction - how much love it shows to source material the only minus is it does not work on my PC, luckily it works on my roommates Pc I don't even mind Blacksad getting stuck on environment and walking slowly, whatever I enjoy the atmosphere I enjoy every minute I spend in this game when it works (not on my PC). I wish this game was not such bugged mess because I SO DEARLY WISH we could get more. This is the only story driven game I played where failures and quick time events actually felt meaningful and fun to play through. The creators really did something special right here, it just really needed some more time and few passes on fixing bugs, because again there is 50% chance of this game being unplayable due to random bug.2 found this helpful
What's there to say? If you even know what this game is, you already know if you want it or not. But here is my review anyway. The graphics and some animations are pretty terrible, storyline can get weird, but overall i had fun. Similar to the Sherlock Holmes, but with Furries!2 found this helpful
I love the whole vibe of the game, it feels like it's right up my alley and I was actually getting interested in the story.. but unfortunately the controls are.. questionable. As the game suggests, I used a controller, but I don't think the game likes PS5 controllers, not because there are no controller inputs for it, but because the movement is super clunky and there's quite a lot of input delay. Not something that you usually notice a lot in these games but the QTEs are terrible.. I have to maybe try every QTE 5 or 6 times before the game just gives up and practically hands me the QTE for free.. it gets very annoying. I'm sure it's a great game and most of the reviews prove that, but unfortunately for me, I just can't experience it for myself.
Fun, comic inspired, interesting overall. Not groundbreaking, still worthwhile. Not for the full price doe.
Great noir style telltale like game. Story is interesting with a mystery to keep you going. Game isnt short and has the perfect length in my opinion.
