About Shutshimi

Shütshimi is a randomized shoot'em up about a muscle-bound fish with memory problems defending the seven seas.

Armed with your trusty bullet-morphing shotgun, defeat or navigate through waves of enemies and collect powerups as you battle your way through each of the game's bosses. But there's a catch (there's always a catch): you've been cursed with an incredibly short attention span. Combat waves and upgrade cycles only last 10 seconds a piece, so you'd better act fast!

But wait, there's more (information)!

Fishy Features:

 • Endless waves, endless fun!
 • Rapid-fire gameplay! The rules change every 10 seconds, so react quickly!
 • 5 different weapons to choose from!
 • Over 40 upgrades to acquire! Combine upgrades with different weapons for interesting combinations!
 • Hats! Over 30 of them! Most hats unlock hidden "Hattributes" which modify gameplay even further!
 • Full keyboard and controller support! Play any way you like, as long as it's either of these two options!
 • You can smoke underwater!?
 • Leaderboards! Compete with friends and foes for the global top score!
 • Local Co-op! Work together or screw each other over when competing for the top score
Shutshimi is all about being right fish in the right place. Avoid bullets, visit the shop, shoot underwater creatures. Rinse and repeat. Waves are about 10 seconds long after that you gain opportunity to grab something real quick from the shop. Game plays well and controls are good. Soundtrack is ok but starts to irritate your ears after some time. Might get boring as there is not much to do except 10 second bursts of shooting. Visuals are basic pretty much. Ok game but needs more polish except the visual side.
This is not a conventional shoot 'em up, and I'm not talking about the art style. You play a very short wave, around 10 seconds, with a bunch of enemies rushing you. You shoot them down... or not. Then you're in a 10-second upgrade screen with three choices. It's designed to keep things moving fast, but I hated being rushed into reading and making my choice. Power-ups could be for one wave or the rest of the game (unless you choose another). Some of them are just for "giggles". So 10-second short wave, 10-second upgrade window, rinse and repeat. Very few enemies. Backgrounds are boring. Only three bosses including one much tougher and unfair than the rest. There's just very little to the game and it didn't keep my interest.

Short review: Not much to talk about here: a nice little shoot'em up with a quirky formula. Basically, round lasts for a about 30 sec, and every time it gets a random event. Nice, but not nothing jaw dropping. Still, worth a try.

Its fine, at its price and quick fun, especially with a friend. the upgrades can be vague but you learn the ones you want and don't, fairly quickly

Like silly shmups? You'll like this! You're Fishy, the extra-muscular fish on a mission to...Uh...Shoot stuff! Like a gruesome Kraken! Each wave you pick from three random modifiers, some helpful, some...Not so much. They're all pretty interesting though, at least the first few runs, then it's your typical chance-related frustration when you get a set with nearly nothing you'd like to pick. Regardless each wave is pretty short, and most modifiers are one-shots, so you don't have to deal with any of the unpleasant ones too long. It's similar with each run being brief, successful or not, so if you're having some bad luck, it doesn't take too long to start fresh with a new run. Speaking of runs, that's the most challenging part of the game, as to really "finish" the game, you have to complete it in one whole run. This means getting through the three bosses' first forms, then their second forms, which may take around...I think at minimum maybe 30 waves, if you manage to luck out and get a quick clear on every boss. More likely it may be around 60-70 waves, largely depending on luck. Still, if you're looking for a quick-run game to hop into when you don't have a lot of time, this is …
