Tropico Reloaded

Great game I hope they Port the game to android and ios.

May have nudged a few elections in my favour. But that's ok, It's not like I'm funneling away to a slush fund or anything....

I've played Tropico 4, 5, and 6 before I played this one, so this is mostly coming from the perspective of a modern Tropico player. And as you can see I've only played for a couple hours, so maybe take this with a grain of salt. What I like: + It's Tropico! Despite it's age, the core DNA of the series is very much here. If you love Tropico 4/5/6, you'll love Tropico 1 + Very addicting gameplay loop, for the same reasons I've said in my other Tropico reviews + Just has loads of charm, the isometric pixelated look invokes a lot of nostalgia + Great soundtrack, even compared to the other games in the series + Arguably he most immersive Tropico game I've played, it's easily the most "down to earth" feeling and least detached from reality What I'm mixed/neutral on: ~ Construction takes an ass long time, make sure to invest in construction workers early ~ Building stuff can be finicky, not every building can rotate and it doesn't feel like things line up even when they should What I don't like: - I'll partially forgive it due to it's age, but the UI is rather clunky and unintuitive - Crop conditions can vary wildly in pretty short periods of time, so you have to switch crops or move f…

A fun city builder with a poltical stuff if you don't minde these types of games i recommend it and the rest ya it an older tital but it a fun one to. no nonesence like modern games. don't need a very high end mashine for um either but it may take a bit to get it running on linex it still worth it

The charm and presentation are both excellent, it's well polished, and the game works well even on modern systems. However, it commits the cardinal sin of these types of games, which is not explaining itself. It even actively misleads you as to the source of a problem. The tutorial will only instruct you in how to view data but not how to act on it. Usually the solution is a very specific combination of actions suited to an equally specific scenario, negating the fun these games usually provide in terms of experimentation. Even most guides are built around expert knowledge and play, but even if they were effective for beginners, that would take away a lot of the fun.
