ALICE VR

Motion based controllers crash the game but standard gamepads do not. Make sure motion controllers are fully deactivated as you start. The first startup won't crash right away, but crashes will happen sooner and sooner as you restart. Use only standard gamepads such as an Xbox controller, PlayStation controller, etc. and the crashes will stop. On a Quest, to avoid touch controller recognition, connect to the PC using meta airlink, and NOT the steam link app, as your hands will now currently act as motion controllers with steam app by default. Alice VR will be added to the programs menu in meta airlink if you start it once, then within the meta airlink library you can start Alice VR with the gaze reticle and the A button on the Xbox controller connected directly to the PC. I don't see any reason a developer skilled enough to make a game like AliceVR couldn't program AliceVR to actively discard all motion inputs, then prompt you to grab a gamepad at the start. I've seen VR games prompt to grab a standard controller at least once before. I did not see any reason snap-turning couldn't be added as a non-default option.

Adding to the negative reviews that this game will not work with modern systems/Oculus Meta 3. Even searching and applying the system environment variables you can find with google searches didn't work for me. It may work for others though. Let me know if you can get it working - and what the game is like, because I'll apparently never know since it crashes before even loading.

Won't start crashes at the load screen not the best experience and I can't refund since I got it from another site just don't buy it walk away.
