About Wolfenstein: The Old Blood

STORY
The year is 1946 and the Nazis are on the brink of winning World War II. In an effort to turn the tide in the allies’ favor, B.J. Blazkowicz must embark on an epic, two-part mission deep within Bavaria….
Part one of Wolfenstein: The Old Blood - Rudi Jäger and the Den of Wolves - pits BJ Blazkowicz against a maniacal prison warden as he breaks into Castle Wolfenstein in an attempt to steal the coordinates to General Deathshead’s compound. In part two – The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs – our hero's search for the coordinates leads him to the city of Wulfburg where an obsessed Nazi archaeologist is exhuming mysterious artifacts that threaten to unleash a dark and ancient power.

It's an okay game. Can't complain about the story, graphics, soundtrack etc. but some technicalities spoiled my experience. The game is hard locked to 60 FPS and it doesn't have a motion blur option. It made my eyes hurt during gameplay. Also, I hate how they did weapon switching. So many weapons, plus throwables, plus melee, plus dual-weilding options are all on the same wheel and alternatively occupy a separate number on keyboard. I can't remember which weapon is on which number, can't reach with my hand past number 4 without taking my hand off WASD and the wheel takes a while to scroll through, as well as finicky to precisely land on what you need. I guess I'll recommend it for others since it's not horrible, but personally I wasn't impressed and didn't get a lot of enjoyment out of it. 7/10

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood can be incredibly stressful when you have no prior knowledge or tips, especially if you’re trying to complete the main story and earn 100% of the achievements. After carefully reading some guides for the final chapter’s boss and challenges, I realized they’re actually super easy once you know what to do. Overall, this game is amazing, and I’d rate it **9.4/10**. My only real complaint is the lack of guidance, which sometimes drove me mad! It took me **12 hours to unlock every achievement**. :) I love this game and would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys FPS games.
