I grew up a fan of the AVGN web series and, also being a fan of traditional 2D platformers, this game was a treat. For anyone who is a fan of the Nerd, there are all sorts of fun references thrown throughout the two games that any longtime fan of the channel will appreciate. If you like the Nerd's humor, you will get a kick out of the humor of this game (albeit most of it is jokes you've likely already seen in some form on the channel, though the tutorials have some original material that I thought personally were the highlights of the comedy). The pixel graphics and chiptune music in these games are top notch and the control feels very nice and responsive. Something I find very interesting about these games is how they manage to throw in elements to bad elements of older games but managed to find a way to tweak them in to actually be more fun, interesting elements that added layers of fair challenge rather than being obnoxious annoyances like in the games he'd review. There are tons of fun and interesting stage gimmicks throughout both games that are fun to navigate through and keep the stages fresh and interesting. There are plenty of collectables for those who like to go after t…

If you never got into AVGN, well it sucks to be you, nerd! Outstanding is an understatement. These games are f***ing awesome. Seriously these games are about as perfect to side-scrolling perfection as you can get. Incredibly funny, punishingly hard on higher difficulties, and gorgeous pixel art - perfect homage to the 8- and 16-bit generations, going as far back as the Atari 2600. Personally, I would rather not have a buffalo take a diarrhea dump, and I'd rather eat the rotten a**hole of a roadkill skunk and down it with beer. I'll just play the hell out of these instead. 10/10

Very good platformer with tons of references to the Nerds youtube videos. If you don't know AVGN but want to play this I recommend watching a lot of his videos first. Otherwise all the quotes and lore will have no meaning and playing this game is just more fun if you understand it. 10/10 for all the effort he put into making this and the game itself has 0 issues so can't give anything other then a perfect score.
