I'm a die hard, mouth breathing, AVGN fan to the end. But this game is REALLY uninspired and lame compared to the Freakzone developed saga, you can't duck, the jumping is awkward, the levels are incredibly simple and the endless mode is the only thing that actually makes it feel like the Freakzone classics. If your endless mode is better than the main game, then your game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks ♥♥♥♥ from a buffalo's anus. Get Sam back in this ♥♥♥♥ as he is the only one who understands how these games work you stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Also, a nes rom was promised with the release of this game and then later redacted for whatever reason. Probably LRG wanting to siphon more money from ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like us because we love our foul mouthed juvenile nerd. Where is the rom Silverman and crew, you gelatinous ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Gengar rider blob of a screen-slob. You promised it you KUMQUAT. Long live The Matei. Big Ryan fan btw

Unlike the Adventures series, this one sucks. The game is a huge tribute to old school NES games in a good way, but I find it not appealing to me. The graphics reminds of Hi-Tech games, looks good and darker. But music sucks, I & II had good music, this one had a very mediocre soundtrack you hear in a cheap modern retro games like Jet Gunner or Clash Force. The gameplay is good I guess but when you play games too many times, it becomes tedious and repetitive. It is also one of the easiest than the previous title. Overall this is a very disappointing game, 8-BIt is just fine but not as good the first one.

Great game because it's not Madden '91, Madden '92, Madden '93, Madden '94, Madden '95, Madden '96, Madden '97, Madden '98, Madden '99, Madden 2000, Madden 2001, Madden 2002, Madden 2003.. Who the ♥♥♥♥ is John Madden anyway?! He doesn't even look like an athlete! What is it with football? Everywhere you go, football! Go there, football! Football, football, football! Like, what the ♥♥♥♥? Sunday football. Monday night football. Thursday football. Football on Thanksgiving! Football on Christmas! And out of all sports, it's the one everybody goes the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ over! Makes them act like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ maniacs!

Short and sweet with a larger file size, which likely is 95% the high definition / 4k cutscenes that is striaght out of an AVGN video, and is a lot more slow paced compared to the Deluxe games. I wouldnt say the level design is the absolute best here since it is filled with cheap shots if you don't know what's coming. Levels do have branching paths usually picking between a sub boss fight for a more straight path, or higher difficulty platforming for more powerups. There is a lot of lives in the same locations in levels so if you can consistantly get there then you have permanant retries at least. Dying to bosses makes them more difficult on the other hand since unlike easy mode, you just lose all your power ups. Sub weapons are limited and largely uneeded since spamming gun is the best thing you could doing for enemies not high above you
and for specific achivements
. You can lose gun power if hit, which can get back if you're fast enough but that often throws you into a situation to get hit again. If you DO happen to get full power then its possible to just speed though levels while killing things before they even get on screen, which i ended up doing in the…

A fun and frustrating experience, as intended some might say. Full review below 👇 https://youtu.be/csKHslh4qiI?si=2VWLUwhLX_Ws8VPU
