Card Shark

Great game which combines real world facts and people with it's own twist in the 1700's. My only complaint is that the game isn't very long so I limited how much I played every day. Still haven't finished it yet.

This game for me is a unique gem, a collection of clever minigames, built up on top of each other, wrapped in a unique intriguing story and beautiful art! I've played it twice, while also having friends watching the first playthrough, so it's a fun game to experience together. I will only note that although the game has different endings, playing a second time didn't feel too different, so I'd say it's a one shot experience (a very good one!) The story is well written, it was refreshing to see real figures from history re inteperted in the piece. It is quirky, filled with intrigue and drama, perfect for a short session after a long day of work. The gameplay felt like some sort of simulator, very engaging and fun. I might suspect that some mechanincs took longer to understand and were never used more than once or twice, but I still had fun learning them and practicing. It felt like a lot of thought was put into teaching and guiding the player! The art and feels truly unique and really stands out. Super impressive! Nice animation, original setting, but railroaded storytelling, no voiceover, tedious and punitive gameplay, and no ending variation. Also need to replay the whole game to access other endings or to replay missions. Death concept on medium difficulty is interesting, but also becomes part of the tediousness and repetitiveness. Also worth noting is that this is not a card game at all.

The art style is ogrgeous. Trying to remember every cheat is very cool Especially when you haven't touch the game in like 2 weeks and you need to rework on each of them, really liked that moment !
