Really interesting and you'll learn a lot about Taoism if you didn't already, heck they even got the whole Tao Te Ching in english here and some other old chinese philosphy book. This is probally my favorite of the Touhou fangames. Its not really that short either took me say 45 minutes to complete compared to the 15 mintute games and there is really alot to dive in here and learn. The game is really true to the title "gives you a life lesson" plus i learned to "box meditate" which made me feel really euphoric. At last please pay the 0,99 cents, its for your own good ^^2 found this helpful

it's like sigyaad's games but leaning more into the humor side of things, pretty funny and light hearted
I was going to leave a review when I felt I was finished reading the book, but I realise that I might never fully finish reading it at any point in my life. So, here is my review right now: this game is perfect and absurdly cheap. I don't remember if I picked up a second annotated copy before or after playing this (that copy being A Minimalist Translation By Bruce R. Linnell), but not only has the book itself been very helpful (if not already reflecting a lot of the philosophies I already held), but learning about the translation of the ancient book and the different ways people can read it is fantastic. The parts of Touhou inspired by a lot of ancient history and mysticism are one of the best parts of the series as a whole, and this game provides a thorough take on a singular part of that- only to demonstrate that there are a lot of factors at play and a lot to learn. This game is outstanding from the persepctive of an oridnary consumer, and it is even better from the perspective of an upcoming or returning Touhou fan. Back to reading (but only when I feel like it~).
I used to want to study the Daodejing and Daoism after playing Shinreibyou, but could never really sink my teeth into it... that is, until it was presented to me in a VN format by one of my favourite 2hus. This game really helped me start to understand the Dao, and ponder things like individual nature, virtue and harmony. It's an amazing, easily-accessible springboard into Eastern philosophy. Being priced at 0.99c gives it the impression of being just some throwaway gag, but this is a whole, aptly annotated copy of the Daodejing with comprehensible and entertaining commentary / explanations. TL;DR: trusting The Evil Blue Lady Who Uses The Souls Of Miscarried Fetuses As Part Of Her Spellcards to give me a life lesson was one of the better decision I've made in a while.
